Yeah, I was worried for Miles for a sec. And I never noticed that about the promotional photo. That's pretty crazy. I'm pretty excited about the rest of the season. This will officially be the last show I follow on tv. It better end well.

Oh, why is that? I think Dexter is a show worth watching, and one that I think you especially would enjoy (though I guess you'd have to catch up first). I'm excited that the next episode is about Ben. He better not die though. >

Too much tv is not a good thing. Frankly, I just dont have the time. Unless someone actually gives me the physical dvds to borrow I'll never give a show a chance.

Good episode this week. The dynamite failing to explode in the Black Rock brings back thoughts of Michael failing to kill himself in Season 4. Flashes were excellent, and they mirrored Ben's on-island plot perfectly. I thought some of the on-island scenes were good. Also, quality material from Miles, which we haven't had in a while. lol Nikki and Paulo Also, the ending was a pretty big surprise.

Yeah, that was a great episode. Not as action packed as last week, but still good drama all-around.
It looks like Jack is developing into the leader position to take Jacob's place. Now even Richard looks up to him.
And Ben's story was touching. It was so great to see Alex alive again and with Ben as a father mentor to her. Even though I was hoping for the principal to get what was coming, he made the opposite choice this time, to atone for his on-island self.
And I'm glad Ben stayed with Ilana's team, just like in the Lost Supper picture. I bet Flocke's gonna be mad though.
And Miles's power finally pays off, as well making the Nikki/Paulo story a little more purposeful.

For those of you who enjoy thinking about LOST even more than just watching, you should check out Jorge's podcast: geronimojacksbeard.blogspot.com/You'll find that the actors really don't learn much more than we do, but they do have the advantage of having the script and seeing the set, and if you like Hurley, it's quite great to hear them talk about the most recent episodes. This latest one is particularly enjoyable because Michael Emerson was a guest star on the podcast, so it's basically Ben + Hurley talking about one of the best episodes of Lost ever. I will say, don't expect to get many new answers, it's more entertaining than enlightening, but for big Lost fans, it's worth checking out.

Yeah! Go Ben! I was really worried that hispanic woman was going to shoot him after he let her leave, but I suppose not, eh?

Actually, Ilana is Asian. I didn't think Ben would get shot, but I was worried he would leave and join Flocke.

That episode was amazing! Definitely answered questions we had about Richard and was quite a good story too. Not too much reveal about stuff that is happening in present-day, but clarified the big picture of things. Looking forward to the rest of the season!

Yeah, this one was fantastic.
Loved quite a few of the scenes, especially Jacob and the Man in Black's scene at the end.

I can't see this episode being nearly as good as the last few... but it's still Lost. Hopefully Desmond will return in this episode.

Not as good as the Ben and Richard episodes, but still on par with the rest of the Season. Also, we all totally guessed it! I guess we'll find out next episode what role Desmond has to play in all this!

Ernie is clearly a psychic. Pretty good episode. Had the misfortune of having to follow Ab Aeterno, though, which makes it look worse by comparison. Loved the call-backs to older episodes (Danny's friend Mikhail? Mikhail being shot in the eye?) and Miles and Frank had some great one-liners. Also, Desmond's face at the end may be the most confused I've seen anyone on Lost. And that's saying something.

Miles: Unless Alpert's covered in bacon grease, I'm not sure Hurley can track anything. Frank: Heeey, don't talk about bacon.

Desmond! I think Widmore wants him because of his experiences in the Hatch, just like he wanted Jin because he signed those documents of where those pockets of energy are. He's just treating him meanly because he's still the husband of Penny, haha.
What do you guys think of Claire becoming sane again while Sayid cant feel anything? I dont think Claire was ever infected the same way Sayid was because she's turning back to normal.

I think Desmond is important because he is "the exception to the rules". I think he's gonna play a role in merging the universes together.
I agree that Jin is important because he knows about the energy though. Also, he's a candidate (assumedly), so he's a twofer.
Also, I don't think Claire is sane again... Flocke is just manipulating her to hold off on killing Kate for now (he actually implied that she can once they're off the Island), because he still needs Kate to convince Jack and Hurley.

I'm thinking the infection just amplifies some traits of a person already there. Sayid was already a killer, the infection just rid him of feeling and emotion to emphasize it. Claire was already protective of Aaron, the infection just amplified it a ton.
Until we see other infected, I'm using that as my theory as to the sickness's nature.

Aha, I got it! The infection turns you into a psychopath-- from the Wiki entry: "Lacking in conscience and empathy, they take what they want and do as they please, violating social norms and expectations without guilt or remorse". Fits both Sayid's lack of emotion, and Claire's crazy urge to get Aaron back and seek revenge on the people who took him. Also for some reason, infected people trust Smokey, and respect his wishes.

Pretty good episode tonight - actually starting to see some kind of link between the timelines. Also, Charlie and Faraday in the alternate timeline! And does Eloise know everything about these timelines? I mean, wow.

Oh man, that was amazing. I was so jittery throughout, Charlie, Daniel, and Desmond are three of my favorite characters. Desmond always has great centric episodes.

Yeah, really good to see those three main characters back on the show. But what the heck happened to Desmond at the end? He seemed so scatter brained. And why did Sayid let that woman live? Hmm...

Hehe, yeah no idea. Maybe he wants her to go back and tell Widmore. Or maybe he knew she wasn't a threat.
But Desmond somehow connected his consciousnesses. He knew that what he had to do was in the other Universe, so I figure in this one he just wants to ride it out.

I made this: What do you guys think? Is anyone in the wrong place, is there someone you think fits better, or perhaps a more fitting quote? Here are my justifications: Lawful Good: "LGs are likely altruists who believe in an orderly lifestyle for the benefit of their species." "A Lawful Good character typically acts with compassion, and always with honor and a sense of duty." Jack fits the best here, since he's always trying to fix things and help everyone survive, even if he's a bit stubborn and irrational at times. He's been more chaotic at points, but most of the time he sticks to the book. Neutral Good: "Sweetness and light." "A Neutral Good character is guided by his conscience and typically acts altruistically, without regard for or against Lawful precepts such as rules or tradition." Hurley is the kinda guy who is nice and openly good, but doesn't really go out of his way to be the hero. He tends to just go along his own way. For instance, building a golf course to get people less stressed. Chaotic Good: "They act on their ideals before they let laws get in the way." "While they do not have evil intentions, they may do bad things to people who are, in their opinion, bad people, if it benefits the greater good." Sayid kills and tortures throughout the series, but you always know that he has good intentions behind it, whether it is helping someone get meds or vital information, or protecting those on the Island. Lawful Neutral: "Law and order is more important than whether you're good or evil." "A Lawful Neutral character typically believes strongly in Lawful concepts such as honor, order, rules and tradition, and often follows a personal code." As a cross between a priest and criminal, Mr. Eko toes the line between good and bad. But to him, following the higher power of either God or the Island is most important. He kills evil-doers, and disciplines himself with a vow of silence. Neutral: "If True Neutrals include the kind with a head for things, then they most likely typically do not care for idealist virtues and/or politics." "Neutral alignment is called the "Undecided" or "Nature's" alignment." Richard is a character who is there to keep balance, and offer advice to the leaders while still giving them the choice. He has worked for unscrupulous leaders like Ben and Widmore, but he is more of a neutral role. He also prefers nature to either order or chaos. Chaotic Neutral: "Chaotic Neutral characters are all about freedom, and don't care so much about morality." "They typically act out of self-interest, but do not specifically enjoy seeing others suffer." Sawyer fits this well, as he's a free spirit who does his own thing from the very start, from conning others to hoarding material possessions. Even in the end, he is making his own plans to betray both Man in Black and Widmore. Lawful Evil: "The kind of Evil that winds up in charge." "Characters of this alignment see a well-ordered system as being easier to exploit, and show a combination of desirable and undesirable traits; they care nothing for the rights and freedoms of other individuals and are not averse to twisting the rules to work in their favor." Ben is one who works the system to get what he wants, especially through lies. He uses these rules to get Widmore banished from the Island and takes his spot. He uses his leadership of the others to get Goodwin killed. And he gets angry at Widmore for "changing the rules" and vows to kill Penny in return. Neutral Evil: "Neutral Evil characters are primarily in it for themselves, because while they are usually villains, they can also swing to the good guy's side." "They have no compunctions about harming others to get what they want, but neither will they go out of their way to cause carnage or mayhem when they see no direct benefit to it." It's hard to tell what Widmore's intentions are at this point, but from what we know he fits this category. Early on he is a rash Other who tries to kill Locke and orders Ben to kill Danielle. He sends the freighter to capture Ben at the expense of anyone on the Island. And he kidnaps Desmond and puts him at risk to help with his dangerous experiments. But he is remains against the monster, a sign that he is knows to avoid chaos. Chaotic Evil: "These characters are basically a force for wanton destruction." "Characters of this alignment tend to have no respect for rules, other people's lives, or anything but their own desires, which are typically selfish and cruel." Man in Black/Esau/Smokey/Flocke, whatever you call him, is pretty much the only candidate for this position, and the perfect one. He is truly a force with the potential for devastation, and will kill anyone who stands in his way and manipulate anyone else to get what he wants: to leave the Island. So let me know what you think. I plan on posting this to Reddit too.

That episode was epic. No other way to describe it.
Ilana got Arzt'd - I definitely didn't see that coming. The flashsideways were great again this week, and I was absolutely blown away by the last few scenes between Desmond and Locke, specifically the Well scene and the school scene.
Also, an answer to the whispers was nice, as was Michael returning.
EDIT: Also, the promo for next week was awesome as well.
