Why does no one talk about Lost? >_<
Last night's episode of Lost was possibly the best episode of the entire series. My tiny, little heart, that is two sizes too small, actually went out to Desmond and Penny. I usually dont care about fake television couples, but if Desmond and Penny dont get a happy ending then TV as we know it will implode on itself.

It was amazing, I agree it was one of the best of the series, and definitely the best of the season. I've always liked time travel stories, and it was well done. I agree about Desmond and Penny, I wonder what will become of that.
So someone on Starmen.net did some calculations and determined that the 94 days they've been on the island has correlated to 35 real world hours! Wow!

That's not really true. It was September 22 when Oceanic 815 crashed. Sayid noticed that it was Christmas Eve on the boat. It has ben 94-ish days.
I'm guessing the time on the island is weird, but it fluxuates.

Oh ok, never mind then. So you are saying that the difference between the two is only a few minutes?

Not really... When Sayid and Desmond left the island in the helicopter it was almost sunset. When they arrived in the ship it was still noon.
We dont know what exactly is wrong with the time on the island, or how. We just know it is weird.

2 hours of LOST was amazing... actually 3 because it reaired the previous episode. Yay for Desmond and Penny! Poor Jin, though we knew it was inevitable. And I was not expecting it to be John!!

Poor Locke... he's too cool to die Maybe somehow the island will revive him. Yeah, that's it.

;_; I like Locke. But we knew it either had to be him or Ben in the casket.

Woohoo, it's so great to have Lost again. Do you have any idea who that woman was at the end? She looked sorta familiar... or was she Daniel's mother?

Post by commonyoshi on Jan 22, 2009 1:16:55 GMT -6
That's what I thought, but why was she in a church? Isn't his mom supposed to be at Oxford?
And I thought I had that non aging guy all figured out. I thought he was just a time traveller which is why he looked as if he never aged, but at one point he disconfirms this.
Also, why does Sun want to kill Ben? She doesn't know the guy killed the soldier, thus blowing up the boat... unless Locke told her. Dun dun dunnn...
And the Lost producers just confirmed that Jin isn't dead. In that special before the premier they said something like "Sun feels guilty because she believes Jin is dead." Ha.
PS: Sun is evil now! Kill her!

Yeah, Richard Alpert seems to be disconnected from time, and thus he isn't affected by the jumps in time by the Island... no idea how that works though.
And yeah, I was speculating how Jin wasn't dead, and maybe he got rescued by Daniel's group in the boat that wasn't on the island when it disappeared... then they had to go and transport Daniel's boat along with the island... I suppose this means Jin could have been transported with the island as well.

lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Ms._HawkingThe mystery woman! I like the idea of Jin floating around the ocean, drifting around, and getting back to civilization. That'd be cool. Oh, and does this mean Walt has to go back with them? Technically, he should have to go back as well. And Richard is effected by the time travelling island, unlike the survivors of the crash. I remember him saying to Locke, "The next time we meet I wont know you *gives compass*"

I meant by the fact that he doesn't jump with them.
Oo, and thanks for the link. I knew I'd seen her before...

Aha, Jin IS alive! I knew it! And I'm thinking Ben knew from John once he gets off the island.
Also, I'm calling Miles as the Dharma Scientist dude's son right now. I never saw the resemblance until this last episode!

Yeah, I agree with your theory about the guy being the dharma scientist son.
I just want to see what Sun does. She's evil I say! Evil!

I think that may have been my favorite episode of the season so far. It started off with a smoke monster mauling, cant go wrong with one of those, and just got cooler as it went along. Once again Ben proves himself to be one tough cookie to crack, the sneaky devil. ^_^

Yeah, that was a pretty neat episode. It was nice to see that Jin knows so much English now. But poor Charlotte... Does Daniel go to visit her as a child after all this takes place? Because he didn't seem to remember it...

He probably does it after. In the first episode of the season we see him visit the site around where the wheel is first uncovered. So the time skipping hasn't stopped yet.

Yeah, I know. I didn't think it was part of the time-skipping though. I was thinking he learned how to time travel or something, or maybe he does continue time skipping after everyone else has stopped.

Did Locke stop the wheel from skipping though? I couldn't really tell. If so how does Daniel keep time traveling? Or maybe the time period where they are right now is the time when they first uncovered it.

Haha, rereading this, we had a lot of correct theories!
So who's watching the current season? Maybe we can have some more discussion here.

I'm watching the current season. Practically watched the entire first 5 in a few months, so it's been a fun ride. Barely finished Season 5 before Season 6 started, though.
Last week's episode was great. Jack's just as impatient as the viewers are at this point - we're all practically demanding answers.
Also, I love how they came back to the caves and revisited Adam and Eve and minor plot points like Shannon's inhaler. Loads of Season 1 references this season.

Yeah, I read that they are even doing the character-centric episodes in the same order as in Season 1. It's really neat how they are wrapping up the show in one neat bundle.
I really enjoyed the last episode, but mostly because Hurley was awesome. I think I relate to him more than Jack, as Hurley is more in for the ride. He seems to have the viewers' perspective as well and brings up all the outside references like Obi-Wan.

Holy crap. That episode was great. The last quarter or so was fantastic. Also, I was totally expecting a Miles death this episode. Very glad he survived.
