Oh my gosh, this show is so cool!
I noticed how we all kept going off topic in the Heores thread. It's obvious that LOST is just too cool to be contained, and we all need a proper outlet.
I dont think we need to keep our mouths closed on spoilers since the show has so many of them, and they are all central to the plot. It just wouldn't be practical for discussion. If you dont want to read spoilers, get the heck out of my topic. I know Ernie hasn't seen season 3 so I'll just PM him if anyone breaks any rules.
Anyways, let's continue off where the Heores thread left off. Season 3 was pretty bad. I didn't really think so when I wa watching but that was because I had never seen the show before that so i couldn't really compare it. Looking back, it was only bad compared to the rest of the show. It was great regardless.
Nikki, the dumb girl who was barried alive, sucked. Palo was pretty cool though. I hated them both until they had their little episode where I grew to like him.

There was nothing likeable about either one to me. If I liked one better than the other it would be Nikki. Palo lied to her and cheated her out of what was rightfully her share of the loot. And when she found out he told her he only did that so she would stay with him and not leave him (which I believe was a LIE, anyone would say that if they were caught!) How could you grow to like a slimeball like that? *wants to know* And it was freaky when she opened her eyes but no one saw that she was still alive and she couldn't talk and the shovels of dirt kept covering her up!

I know... I was so scared (I mean actually scared from a TV show! @_@) when she opened her eye. I was like "Oh my freakin' gosh! No! Watch out, she's still alive... BURRY HER FASTER, YOU MORONS!" I grew to like him because I could see that his actions had good intentions behind them. Couldn't you see throughout the episode that he loved her? She treated him like a tool though. That's what won me over to him.

(He was probably treated like a tool because he acted like one)

Whoa, I got to watch this show! Burried alive!?

Yup! And if you find that interesting there's way better stuff that happens than that! For example, smoke monsters, Hostiles, the Others, polar bears (on a tropical island!), etc. Oh yeah, and paralyzing spiders, which is why Nikki and Palo couldn't say anything while they were being buried alive.

So unfortunate that that episode was nothing but pointless filler...

Ugh! Let's change the subject already lol. I'm losing some respect for Jack, what about ya'll? He's being sort of a jerk but I still like his character, just not as much as I did when I first started watching.

This is my first season so I cant judge what he was like before.
He seems alright to me. He's kinda bland.
However, I hate Kate with a burning passion that reaches to the stars. She's so dumb and... trashy.

HOLD IT.
You are not allowed to bash one of my favorite characters until you actually go and watch the rest of the series. Kate's current emotional state is the result of all the crap she's been through since the plane crash. And she's been through a LOT.
Also, yeah, I'm starting to wish they really did kill Jack in the first episode like they originally planned to.

I dont see how going through a lot could make someone any more stupid and trashy than she started out as before the plane crash. >_>

Remember when the Pilot got killed in the first episode? That was originally supposed to be Jack. Jack was going to be killed and Kate was going to become the "leader." The idea was to immediately shock the audience into realizing that anyone could be killed at any time, even if that person seems like the token "never die, main hero." However, they thought that doing so would potentially turn away some viewers, and Jack could be used for some good plots later, so they decided to let him live.
I kinda wish they filmed a few episodes Jackless anyway. It would have been interesting to see how the discovery that Kate is a wanted fugitive would stir up the camp if she was the leader, and it would have made life on the island seems that much more dire.

Yeah, I guess. But Jack isn't as whimsical and weak as Kate and makes a better leader.

And when I say weak I mean emotionally, she's proven herself otherwise lol. For example, Jack actually gives thought about running off into the jungle and she just takes off (multiple times i might add) lol

I wonder if Michael and Walt will ever show back up........ If there is a kind and just God, then Stupid Michael will never return. But I think that season 3's finale pretty much confirms some kind of Walt reappearance.

It definitely confirms that his spirit can wander and appear to people.

But especially since they're off the island now and he can still do it, that's sorta what I meant.

It also means he didn't gain his powers from the island, like some others did. Desmond seeing the future, Locke walking, etc. But we could tell that when it went back into Walt's past.

Hmmm, afterthought. I wonder if we'll be seeing any more polar bears now that he's gone...

One of my friends says Michael is his favorite character. What a dimrod. We make fun of him daily for this. Oh, and the show needs more polar bears. I haven't seen one since taking up the show.

You should make him a badge with one of Stupid Michael's stupid confusion looks on it and make him wear it.
And yes, I do always refer to him as Stupid Michael. I hate him that much.

I hate him too, especially since he killed Libby and Anna Lucia!! That really did it for me. (Especially Anna Lucia, she was my new fav. character.)
