Almost certainly Humperdinck and his men are the mafia, not Fezzik and crew. Indeed I also believe that malick is probably Fezzik, which makes sense seeing as how he's implying a masonry, and Fezzik, Vizzini, and Inigo Montoya could very well be allowed talk with each other (although admittedly a 3-person masonry in a small enough game like this would be a bit overpowered)
Vote: kcaltrain, mainly because if you're not willing to keep up with a game on Day 1, you won't exactly be of much use in a few days time.
For monstrman, my main suspect is kcaltrain, because of a lack of effort. I think Miracle Fassad could be putting on his post restriction, and I'm not quite sure the impressive clergyman would have made the cut for this game. It would be nice to either get WP in, or to have him replaced.
As a final point, I will have a lower post count than most, mainly due to time zones, and the fact that live posting tends to happen while I'm asleep. But when I post, I do try to say more.

I have the same feeling as monstrman. I wanna hear more from Kcal now and why he doesn't want to participate on D1. There's a lot to go on right now, seeing as there are people talking about their suspicions and voting.
No attention span? Then why are you playing this game?

Kcal:if you don't show up and do something productive I, too, will be voting for you. get in here and say something useful. I know this may be a case of the pot calling the kettle black but if you wont say anything you useful why are you saying anything at all?

Voting kcaltrain is maybe not the best lynch, if only because we will get almost no info from his voters if he turns up town. Any reasoning on him is too easy because he has done nothing.
kcat, can you at least shed some light on your suspicions and/or character before everyone lynches you? At least give a bit of effort.
I thought it was fishy how Linnet thought it was possible for this to be a Reverse Alignment game, either she's mafia trying to sow up confusion or she just has a grey-area character. I'll be willing to trust her for now, but I have my eye on her.
As for the Malick voters... he's new, I don't expect him to have much content, but at least he's trying, unlike kcat.
I'm not sure about MF yet, but the Clergyman is a kinda sketchy role, now that I read about him. He's one of the less-likely characters in the game, and I could see MF trying to use it as a fake claim. But... not enough to lynch over just yet.
I'll think over this and place a vote tonight.

I think a malick lynch would be beneficial because if he's town, it's likely one of his wagoners is mafia, and if he's mafia then I think that one of the people avoiding lynching him might be mafia too!!!

How about we lynch the people who don't post that much because if they don't post much D1 the rest of the days will be worse for town trying to win.

I dunno about lynching inactives day one... it really doesn't accomplish much aside from ridding the town of inactives.

I'll be willing to trust her for now, but I have my eye on her. My approach to this was bad, I guess! The point I was aiming for there was that you can't always judge alignment or role by character, that's all. How about we lynch the people who don't post that much because if they don't post much D1 the rest of the days will be worse for town trying to win. Inactives can be replaced, and they're almost a neutral target to go after - we learn little by lynching them. As it is I don't think D1 is an appropriate time to start lynching inactives.

I said I would vote tonight, so here's my move: Vote: kcaltrain kcat, I think you should reread the thread and make some suspicions if you're town. A vote would be nice, and perhaps a claim if you think that could help your case, but you can't just willingly be lazy if you're town.
Malick: Please explain your reasoning behind voting Miracle Fassad, I must have missed it. I'm not sure what your motives are yet, but I'm glad you're at least posting.
Miracle Fassad: You're the only one with a post restriction so far, and it is odd. Now that more posts have been made, who are your suspicions? Are you willing to place a vote?

I am really really really not liking the vote splitting that's going on. It honestly makes me that much more suspicious that malick is scum, and a teensy bit suspicious of the people doing it. Admittedly, kcaltrain is scummy, but you yourself ernie said that voting him would accomplish virtually nothing. I really am smelling something scummy here and I don't think it's the fish.
See what happens when people actually do stuff day 1? IT CAN BE A PRODUCTIVE DAY TOO.

I think a malick lynch would be beneficial because if he's town, it's likely one of his wagoners is mafia, and if he's mafia then I think that one of the people avoiding lynching him might be mafia too!!! Does that not count for everyone? If we all vote for another person and he turned up town, wouldn't that mean one avoiding to vote for him could be mafia? You're avoiding to vote for someone else than Malick, so wouldn't that mean you could be mafia? Your reasoning is weird.

I didn't say that it would accomplish nothing, only that it would reveal nothing about the voters... kcat could still be scum. And I'm not quite convinced that we should lynch Malick just to get information, if he's going to be one of the more active members, unless I get some better reasoning about him.

And now that we have a split vote between Malick and kcat going on, it actually might reveal something, not because of reasoning on kcat, but the deference of voting on Malick in favor of kcat.

It's been one of the best Day 1s I've seen. I think that we will be able to go back and use today in future analysis, lynch or no lynch. It looks unlikely that we'll get a lynch though, which would give us plenty to go on.
Unvote Vote: Malick
While this is against my initial instincts, I do think when we've come this far we need a lynch, and Malick is the most likely. Also, Malick's most recent post seemed to be a little too enthusiastic to try and get rid of people not posting. This might be only my third post, but I still think I've said much more than most. In addition, on Day 1, someone might just be busy at the moment, or away on holiday.
I am still adamant though that kcaltrain does not seem likely to be much of an asset during the day phases, although for all I know, your ability could be useful.

Blugh it's way too early in the morning for me to be coherent about this yet but I'm not switching my vote. Malick may be posting frequently but he's had a lot of low-content posts and his reaction to the votes on him has been weird, to say the least - "I won't defend myself but let's lynch an inactive instead!"

A malick lynch would reveal a lot about the voters. I.E. exactly what I said which soft said was "weird reasoning"

Kcal, if you really don't want to play you can just let the mod know that you'd like to be replaced. If you're going to stay in the game, though, I highly recommend the actually-paying-attention route! It's fun, really.

We're not asking you to leave, or to make huge posts, just make posts that acknowledge what's happening in the game. We can't tell if you're mafia or town (which is what we are trying to do) if you don't say anything at all. If you need ideas on what kind of things to post, see my list of questions; also, if you notice anyone with odd behavior (everyone has their own point of view), point that out and place a vote. You don't have to give up so easily.
Unvote: kcaltrain Vote: Malick
I have been convinced on the value of a Malick lynch. I'm not quite convinced of his scumminess yet though, but neither of his innocence. You probably should claim since it's L-1, Malick.
You don't have to

I have no problem with voting for Malick because he does seem a bit suspicious but I'm not entirely sure what to think about him yet and seeing as I voted for two members before I want to read more first before switching and casting my final vote.
Kcat, you made your point. If you're part of the town, you should try to help us though...
