Great movie to start the new year off with. Did anyone else see this?
It's about the events of a group of people during an attack on Manhattan by a huge creature, all shot in first camera view. It's not a traditional monster movie in that we are looking at everything through a third person view, and we see what happens to the monster as the army attacks it. It's really a movie about the people who witnessed the attack.
There's some great stuff in this movie. Dont miss it.

I heard about it.. on the radio.. they said the ending sucked.. they just stopped the camera.. and no one knows who the monster is etc. I kinda think thats an okay ending.. if done properly.. EDIT - I don't think I'm gonna watch it tho.. I'm allergic to scary things. .

I didn't find it scary. It's not like things jumped out at you. It was strictly a triller/action movie.
The ending was very well done, in my opinion. Anything else would have been stupid and contrived.

I just watched it tonight too, but it didn't reach my expectations. When watching it, i found myself getting really dizzy and wanting to throw up, i was actually forced to look away from the screen from getting so dizzy. The movie overall was pretty good, although i didn't like the ending much

I thought it was awesome, and very original, but I wouldn't watch it again. It was so nauseating and dizzy, I would have thrown up if I had eaten dinner. Just thought of it as a roller coaster ride, exciting and cool, but it leaves you sick.
I thought the ending was fitting with the theme, and I had no big problems with it. I guess it might be scary for you, redearth, but it's not horror scary or anything like that.

Bwahahahaha. That's hilarious. Maybe I've just played more video games than you guys which is why I didn't get sick. I used to all the time though.
And the ending was perfect. Anything else would have been stupid.

Yeah, I used to get sick playing Spyro demos. Though most everyone I know was feeling nauseous from watching it.

AHA. Ok, this is a bit belated, but I saw this on the plane (yeah, not a very good idea ) while coming over to Aus. Which was lke a month ago. I really liked it. It was really cool. And the ending was fitting, but a bit sad. I didn't really get sick on it. I thought I would, but I was pretty at ease with it... :S

That had to have sucked for the other people on the plane. People who have seen it have complained about the motion of the camera making them sick. (not me though) So seeing that on a plane just had to have been rough. I felt sick watching The Prestige on my laptop on the plane.
And you're so lucky you got to watch Cloverfield. I got stuck with lame movies on my flights last week.

Oh, yeah, I was a bit trepeditious (that a word?) but I didn't get sick.. neither did my bro, who watched it on the flight back yesterday.
Ugh. Back in Oman, people.
The movies on my flight are decent. Emirates is good. What flight is yours?

Where did you go? I take which ever flight is the cheapest. Last time was American Airlines which was pretty shabby. The best flight movie I've had is probably Bridge to Terabithia. Good movie. One of my favorites.

Well, it was Melbourne to Dubai, direct flight. Then we took a flight a couple of hours back to Oman.
Ugh. Best movie I had was probably... 21.
