I like ben folds, ben folds five, weezer, lost prophets, red jumpsuit apparatus, linkin park (sometimes), I listen to a lot of punk, emo, and alternative. there are quite a few more bands I like. I also play guitar and bass. I wrote a few poems and turn them into songs too I was with ya until lostprophets. Ben Folds is amazing. Also, I was thiiiiis close to seeing Weezer live.

I suppose I do throw a big blanket over what rap is, but I can't really define the sort of rap I dislike :S I dislike Snoop Dogg sort of rap: just (what sounds to me like) talking, and lyrics consisting of clubs, basic hedonism, drugs, money and guns :/ I find it tasteless and a little bit... soulless. On a different note, has anybody heard of Laura Marling, Marina and the Diamonds or The Yeah Yeah Yeahs? I'll provide a video for each one. Oh, and Regina Spektor? I don't think I've recommended her... strangely. I've liked her music for more than a year. Laura Marling - New Romantic www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_fTt0rVnYgMarina and the Diamonds - I Am Not A Robot www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_oMD6-6q5YThe Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Zero www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGxBTsmuRIkRegina Spektor - Us www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzrC72Xv6pEYeah, go check them out if you haven't heard of them. Hope you enjoy

REVIVE
So I looked into The Cat Empire and I like. Their accents are funny (as are the lyrics), but the music is really good stuff.
I still listen to the Beatles all the time, they never get old. I also like some of Paul's songs with the Wings.
And I know I mentioned Perfect Timing by Orba Squara before, but I really like his music. Really relaxed and happy. I bought his second album too.
And Solas! Thanks monstrman for the great recommendation, I'll be looking for some of their CDs.

Arcade Fire's Wake Up is a lot better, IMO. But that one's good too. Hmm, I'll have to think of some more suggestions, but this one sticks out: Feel by ChicagoOh, and this song is pretty simple, but it makes me smile: What is Life by George Harrison

hmm. Chicago isn't really my type of music. I like it when the guitars come in though. But it's not something I'd listen to though.
Whoah! I haven't heard this song in ages. It's almost unrecognizable. Nice.

A friend of mine recently introduced me to Stratovarius, a Progressive-metal band from Finland. They are just amazing.

Death Cab for Cutie is a really good band. Agreed. Nice avatar. I have recently become addicted to Arcade Fire. Here's "Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)." EDIT: Oh, you guys have already talked about Arcade Fire. "Rebellion (Lies)" is teh awesomesauce, and "Wake Up" is the one that made me really like them.

Weezer is pretty much greatest band ever. And The Mountain Goats get me high on awesomesauce. Sonic Youth is my chill band. Rush gives me chills. Pixies definitely make me lose control. The Beatles are pretty cool. Megadeth makes me crazy. The Replacements rock my socks. I am in love with Dinosaur Jr Radiohead can set the mood for anything.
My current top ten favorite bands I guess.
