Were the best 60's-70's band in the history. Over all, I believe that they released 13 albums. They also made the most money. The only band to come close to the Beatles' revenue was Elvis Prestley. John Lennon tribute videoOn December 8th, 1980 Mark Davis Chapman shot John Lennon 4 times, and killed him. He was having Delusions of grandeur, but was found guilty anyway.

Yeah, my roommate's a big fan of the Beatles, but I actually haven't heard but 2 or 3 of their songs. I should probably get on that. There's a new movie out right now that's based on their songs, Across the Universe or something like that.

There's a new movie out right now that's based on their songs, Across the Universe or something like that. So yeah, I actually listened to a bunch of their songs, and I really like some of them. I tend to like the more clean-cut classic stuff rather than the more "rock" style or weird trippy songs. My favs so far are probably: Help! Penny Lane Hello, Goodbye Hey Jude Eight Days a Week All My Loving Ob-la-di, Ob-la-dah What about you guys? I'm looking for some more good ones. (Also Beatles Rock Band comes out 09/09/09 )

I like em fine. I'm not REALLY big on them, but I appreciate their music and their influence.
I actually know of some people who HATE them and don't respect them at all as a band. I can understand not being into their music, but if you don't acknowledge their importance to rock music then you're just a fool.

Haha, it's weird to imagine that time when I didn't know the Beatles' music. I'm like a Beatlemaniac now, and listen to their music all the time. Even my list of favorites has changed. But now it makes me more sad than before for those of you who don't like them. They're the quintessential band!

What music do people who hate the Beatles like anyway? I've always wondered about that.
When I see people listening to their iPods with headphones blaring... is THAT even music?

Maybe I've heard them too much, but I just don't really like them :/ I tend to not really like the older music (stuff like the Beatles, Queen etc.) I used to like the latter, butI guess I'm sick of them, and the Beatles are good, I understand, but I just don't like them.
But that doesn't mean I like the music nowadays either. What's played on the radio is all the same: tuneless, generic and manufactured.

Does that mean you just don't really like music Jerz?
I'm not a huge Beatles fan, but I do enjoy them quite a bit. I've found that I prefer them to the Stones in general.

na. I just don't listen to radio music. Radio music = mainstream. There's tons of music outside of radio... Maybe I should've added in my last post that I actually have to go search for good music <_< But I suppose it's worth it

Not all mainstream music is bad, Jerzkong... but I agree that a lot of it is. I tend to think that the mainstream "classics" are good stuff, because in order for them to still be classics, they have to withstand the tests of time.

In my opinion, the Beatles are a great band. Not because they are amazing or whatever, or their songs are something you listen to everyday all the time, but because if a Beatles song comes on around 90% of the population will most likely leave it on.
