The only anime I've ever gotten into was "Crest of the Stars" and the sequel "Banner of the Stars." Check them out on youtube if you're into scifi/action/drama (a bit like star wars).

Ergo Proxy for me. It's good, but for some reason I'm not obsessed by it, although I really should be. Maybe it's because I'm in the mood for something funny right now.

No, this is adorable. (Yes, I know it's a hot-link message) Osaka! Azumanga Diaoh is another great anime. It's definitely the funniest one I've ever seen. The only funnier show is Arrested Development. And please go to the elimination games and kill off all the stupid, sucky anime that are still on the list. Fruits Basket, Speed Racer, AND DEFINITELY Oran High School all need to die off. The best ones on there are FLCL and Deathnote. Only those deserve to win. Edit: This is Oran High School www.veoh.com/videos/v1156611RFxR2e78?searchId=8879060294538772904&rank=1>_>

I just finished watching Death Note, and I'm going to start Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann as soon as I have the time. It's by the same studio as FLCL, and the first episode was crazy. Too bad I have so much to do nowadays, I don't have time for anime or anything Back at home I watched a few really good ones, and besides FMA (which several people have already mentioned) Trigun and Paranoia Agent were incredible. Seriously, PA is only 13 episodes and it will change the way you think. Look it up.

WHOAH. Common, I was just rereading this thread, and I actually read the entire manga series of Azumanga Diaoh. I actually understood the picture and stuff Never seen the anime but the mange is pretty cool anyways. It's hilarious, though I pity the girl who all animals hate. I'm happy she got that tiger thing cat later um. Currently Animax here is showing Fullmetal Alchemist again, so I've probably managed to see maybe half the series, though not in chronological order. I love it how it can be so funny in such a serious time... And I'm also watching Chronicle of the Wings (also called Tsubasa Chronicles) where this guy, Syaoran, is trying to find the 'feathers' of his childhood friend and love, who is a princess. The feathers are actually her memories (dunno how THAT works..) and she'll die without them, so he goes to get them by traveling through different worlds. Though they do love each other, he doesn't show it because he thinks it's bad for a poor guy marry/whatever with a princess. They also travel with Fay (pronounced Fye), an incredibly strong magician who is kinda suicidal, though he always acts cheerful, and a ninja/samurai dude... can't really remember his name. They all have to sacrifice the most important thing in their life in order to travel to different worlds. Fay loses a phoenix tatoo which I tihnk monitors he's power (not too sure here). Ninja guy gives up his greatest sword. Syaoran sacrifices his relationship with Sakura. Which affects Princess Sakura by making her forget everything about Syaoran (as soon as she gets her memory back and stuff.) Not that it really matters, because she sacrifices her relationship with him too. So each time they get a feather, she has the memory with Syaoran absent in it. Oh, and did I mention that the feathers are incredibly powerful and all the evil guys predictably want them? It may sound lame... and kinda typical... but there are a couple of twists that throw it really weirdly, and there are some incredibly dark moments. For example... Fay's power turns out to be from his eyes... and so if he's blinded (as in, damage to eyes, not pitch blackness), he loses his magic. I tihnk he'll die too, because his magic is tied to his life; no magic, no life. Whatever, I think he's awesome. I've actually only seen a couple of episodes out of... a lot... but the plot is fascinating and there's actually a bit of action in each episode. And in the rare case that there isn't (well, if only seen a couple, but most have action in it), at least the stuff they talk about is interesting or relevant. And the dubbing is good... ..And I don't have a video to show <_<

Ugh, you know how most series that have 50/51 episodes contain two seasons? Like 1-26 episodes is one season, 27-51 is the other? I watched Chronicle of the Wings... the dubbing for the second season sucks. The voice cast had been replaced by really meager ones that don't fit the character at all. I'm so annoyed

The Law of Ueki. Again, really good. I don't know many people who watch it, though.
