Just wondering how the Wii U is faring among our users. I personally don't know yet if I will, but some good games might change my mind.

Probably not, because my brother's looking into getting a PS2 and a TV for the both of us (as opposed to a Wuu for the both of us, and yes I will continue to call it this). Also, almost all my gaming these days is PC.

Not planning on getting it any time soon.
To be honest, I don't really get the appeal of the tablet controller. Maybe there'll be a game or something that changes my mind, but it adds to the cost considerably, and doesn't add much other than a few gimmicks as far as I can tell.

Good point; perhaps they should have found a way to have the DS or 3DS interact with the console and made it optional instead.

the tablet just hasn't really excited me, from what I understand most multiplayer games can only use one tablet and the rest just use wii-motes. I think I'll have to wait for more games for this one and the price drop.
Also it seems like Nintendo is going for a more mature feel. more mature games I think (and hope) Honestly I just want a bigger library with a wider variety. Something I loved with the wii was the pick up and play aspect but I'd like a few more games for it.

I've disliked how Nintendo has been making great local multiplayer games, but their online multiplayer games are seriously lacking... Why do they expect us to have a bunch of friends over in order to have fun?
NPR, since it seems you're the only one with a Wii U so far, how is it? I haven't heard much great things about it, but the Nintendoland chase games looked fun.

NPR, since it seems you're the only one with a Wii U so far, how is it? I haven't heard much great things about it, but the Nintendoland chase games looked fun. Nintendoland was a lot better than I thought it would be. Some of the games in it can be picked up right away, while others are harder to get, so there's something for everybody. As for the Wii U besides the games, it's friggin genius. Whether it's the netflix/youtube/hulu+ channels, or WiiTVii (Comes out in December). It's hard to stay off of it. The gamepad can function as the TV remote. It can turn the TV on or off, adjust the channel and volume, as well as switch inputs. Also, no more friendcodes. When you make a primary profile with your Wii U, you make a username, which your friends can add on the Nintendo Network (Nintendo Network ID). As for the Wii lacking great online multiplayer, bear in mind that Xbox live and the PSN costs money to use, so they maintain these networks with membership costs. The Wii (and the Wii U) cost nothing. I've heard that the Wii U has great online multiplayer that rivals Xbox live and the PSN, but I haven't experienced it for myself.

two things re: above 1. The no more friend codes thing does intrigue me, forgot about that. 2. Steam's multiplayer is, for the most part, at least as good as consoles', and all you have to pay for are the games. Which are almost always on sale if not free. (hence why most of my gaming lately has been PC haha)
