No vote (3): GameGuy, impereld, Caleton With 7 alive, it takes 4 to lynch.The news of the death of yet two more Avengers set Kat into a Warrior's rage. "Die, villain!" she cried out as she pulled out her hammer and angrily threw it at Impereld, knocking his bow out of his hand and crushing it against the wall. Now disarmed, Hellfire took his chances and opened fire on Impereld, who proved to be more agile than expected. TML, seeing that Hellfire couldn't land a hit, pointed a device at Impereld and activated it, stopping him in his tracks. Kirawillwin quickly sprung into action, smashing Impereld into the ground with a fiery, rock fist. Hellfire followed up with some more blasts, and within a few seconds impereld was dead. impereld was Hawkeye, Russian Roulette, Townkirawillwin laughed as his whole body changed shape from an athletic Spider-Man to a strong but versatile Skrull. kirawillwin was Super Skrull, Jack of All Trades/Doppelganger, MafiaLinnet was Spider-Man, Rescuer/Insomniac, TownNow realizing that the villains were revealing themselves, Game Guy instantly recognized Hellfire. "You're... my invention, Ultron! I thought we had destroyed you!" he called out. "Grave mistake, you cannot destroy Ultron!" he replied. Game Guy began to yell to Caleton, "You need to deactivate him quickly! Go to that computer and..." but before he could finish his command, Hellfire fired everything he could at him, disintegrating him instantly. He threw two vibranium blades at Hellfire, lodging into his circuitry. But before he could land a finishing blow, kirawillwin placed a shield around Hellfire and swung two long, fiery arms at Caleton, knocking him to the ground. TML and Hellfire then fired their lasers at Caleton, delivering fatal wounds. Caleton was Black Panther, DNA Cop, TownAfter retrieving Mjolnir, Kat jumped into action, flying at TML to deliver a crushing blow to his machinery. But right before the hammer made contact, TML quickly typed a button and vanished. A few seconds later, he reappeared on the other side of the room, but this time with a familiar looking machine. Kat gasped as she recognized it: NPR's power erasure invention! TML had gone back in time and stolen it from NPR right before he fired at monstrman. monstrman instantly felt his powers surge back into his body. TheMissingLink was Kang the Conqueror, Inventor/Time Killer, Mafiamonstrman was Loki, Redirector/Infiltrator, MafiaWith a sinister laugh, monstrman wasted no time in blasting Kat with a powerful magic spell, catching her off-guard and throwing her back against the wall. TML activated the machine, quickly aiming the output firing device at Kat as it reached its high pitched hum. As Kat was blasted with the device's beam, her hammer dropped to the ground and she felt her power sapped from her. Now a helpless mortal, Hellfire, TML, and kirawillwin joined together in demolishing the once indestructible god. "I'm so sorry, Midgard," she repented before joining the other Avengers in their deaths. Kat was Thor, Armor/Energizer, TownThe Invader Mafia has defeated the Avengers! Congratulations to our winners, not a single one was lynched!monstrman kirawillwin Hellfire TheMissingLinkAfter defeating the Avengers though, the mafia began to debate over what to do with Earth once they conquered it. Kang had returned to conquer the Earth and save it from being destroyed, while Ultron had wanted to wipe out humanity and rebuild it with his own robots. Although their temporary alliance had proven a success, they now began to brawl over which one of them would rule. As they battled, Loki and Super Skrull stood back and made their plans for a Skrull invasion. They laughed together maniacally as Ultron and Kang destroyed each other, and made communication with Thanos. Soon the humans would be enslaved, ushering in a new reign for the Skrull race. Kirawillwin and monstrman have won the bonus game! They win an additional $100! Thanks to everyone for playing, I hope you had fun! I will get to the Role PMs and Night Actions within the next few days, so be sure to check back. Tell me what you thought of the game, and let me know if you have any nagging questions!

Ugh, not one of my better games. Unsurprisingly, that seems to be a theme when I don't pay as much attention to the game.
Oh well, nicely played mafia.

edit: ninja. I was this'ing the sign up for karma game thing
I really hope I draw scum in that game because I'm too braindead to scumhunt, apparently...
This game was quite the fustercluck with a bit of bastardry thrown in. Highly enjoyable!
Also: "see if I wasn't on my hot character sheet-making date [7:51:14 PM] Kat: I would have been refreshing [7:51:21 PM] Kat: so really, we have squeege and monstrman to blame." And I stand firmly by this!

First up, the Town: You are Tony Stark aka Iron Man , the genius billionaire engineer who created himself a powerful suit of armor. As the Inventor, you use your skills and resources to create weapons to use against the enemy. You win when all the villains have been defeated. Ability: Invention (10 EP) - You can invent an item that contains the ability of your choice. It will be given out at a random time during the first 24 hours of the Day. You are allowed to pick up your own items. An invention will take at least 5 EP to use, more depending on its power; I still reserve the right to balance them. Bonus Energy: Since you like to talk, you may gain points for 5 additional posts, making your max 20 instead of 15. Commentary: With so many inventors in the Marvel series, I decided this would be an Inventor game! i.e. each alignment had their own inventor. Iron Man was obviously going to be in the game, as he is my favorite Avenger, and he makes a lot of weapons and inventions (including his own suit), so he was a prime choice for inventor. After I added his bonus energy for Iron Man being so talkative, it didn’t make sense with his EP only being 10 so I changed it to 15. After Meow complained about the whole EP concept though and not wanting to post so much, I toned it back down to 10 like the other inventors. Squeege made two inventions before his death, one of which got neutralized by Hellfire’s ability and the other which confirmed Linnet’s townieness. The mafia investigated Squeege early on and I guess they figured Iron Man (and Squeege) was a role worth killing off.You are Bruce Banner aka The Hulk, a scientist who changes into a huge green monster whenever he gets angry. As the Armor/Brock Sampson, you can become the Hulk and use your superhuman strength and durability to wreak havoc on the enemy. You win when all the villains have been defeated. Abilities: Hulk Armor (11-30 EP) - You can transform into the incredible Hulk; this will make you partially invulnerable to night kills. The minimum (11 EP) will give you 5% armor, with each additional point increasing it by 5% up to 100% (30 EP). This is not passive, so you must choose when to use it. Hulk Smash (25 EP) - You can transform into the incredible Hulk; this will give you superhuman strength and allow you to kill any player who had a vote on you during the previous Day. Bonus Energy: Each time someone votes you, it will make you more angry. It will also increase your energy by 3 EP. Commentary: Hulk Smaaaash! I wanted to incorporate Bruce Banner’s transformation into the Hulk with this role, hence the bonus EP. If Miracle Fassad hadn’t gotten lynched, he would have had enough EP to use either of his abilities, even without posting! This was actually one of the 5 armors in the game, but each of them had a variation; this was an active armor and had to be chosen; he would have had to choose when to use the EP on the armor or the kill, and when to just save it for later. Unfortunately, he didn’t do anything all game.You are Thor, the Asgardian god of Thunder, dedicated to protecting Midgard. As the Armor/Energizer, you wield Mjolnir which allows you to control the lightning, wind, and rain and use it to defend your allies. You win when all the villains have been defeated. Abilities: Immortality (15 EP) [passive] - If someone attempts to kill you at night, you will survive, but 15 EP will be drained from you for healing and recuperation. If you don’t have enough points in reserve, you will die. Lightning Surge (10 EP) - You can surge someone with lightning, providing them with 10 additional EP. You must use this action before the Day phase ends. Lightning Strike (10 EP) - You can strike someone with lightning, draining them of 10 EP. You must use this action before the Day phase ends. Bonus Energy: Since you enjoy delivering the finishing blow with your hammer Mjolnir, if you place the hammer vote on a lynch, you will receive 5 additional EP. Commentary: Thor is quite overpowered in the Avengers, as he is pretty much indestructible, so that’s where the Armor part comes in. Kat had to have some EP left over for the Armor to work, but after abstaining the first day/night, she had max EP for the rest of the game, especially since she posted so much. Her Energizer ability took place during the Twilight before I sent out the EP. Kat did a good job with activity, as an Armor should, but after mistakenly claiming due to Malick, she wasn’t really a threat to the mafia for the rest of the game. She did boost some Townies’ EP, but they were already close to max anyways. Fatal mistake though: placing a vote on Impereld during LYLO.You are Steve Rogers aka Captain America, the First Avenger and born leader who fights as a beacon for hope and justice. As the Shield, you use your nearly indestructible shield to protect yourself and others from deadly weapons. You win when all the villains have been defeated. Ability: Shield (12 EP) - You can use your shield to protect yourself and another player from death. Each will have a 50% chance of success, because only one side is defended by the shield. Bonus Energy: You are honorable and responsible, and thus take on the role of the leader very well. If you are the first vote on a lynch, you will receive an additional 6 EP. Commentary: Captain America, the obvious doctor role! This time I made something new, to account for his Shield. One side is protected, the other side is vulnerable, thus 50% for himself and whoever he protects. Quite a powerful role, but it only got used twice due to lack of EP. However, vgaddict did protect Malick on Night 2, when TML chose to go back in time and kill Malick! Talk about lucky! I thought for sure that Captain America would be the one role that could save vgaddict from being lynched... but I guess Hellfire casted enough doubt on it.You are Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, the amazing web-slinger who uses his great power to fight crime. As the Rescuer/Insomniac, you use your spider-sense and swing on webs to rescue yourself and others from danger. You win when all the villains have been defeated. Abilities: Spidey-sense (5 EP) [passive] - Your spider-sense will alert you when you have been targeted by a harmful night action. You will not learn who performed the action(s). Web sling (10 EP) - You can swing down on a web and rescue someone from being blocked, enabling them to continue their night action. This also protects against other harmful actions such as redirecting and vote blocks, but not kills. Bonus Energy: Since you are concerned with your reputation being smeared by the media, for each post that you make that gets “Liked”, you will receive a boost of 3 EP. Commentary: Spider-Man isn’t one of the “classic” Avengers, so I figured he’d be a nice ambiguous role that is pretty cool. I was thinking of putting Spider-Man as a roleblocker (web), but after I made Hawkeye the RR, he became a defense against roleblocking and [monstrman’s] redirecting. Linnet actually succeeded in getting some Likes each day, so she had enough EP, but she didn’t use her ability. Linnet did a good job during the Day though, with most of the Town being shocked that she was “mafia”. At least people caught on that it was faked, if kira had killed again, I bet people would have figured it out for sure.You are Natalia Romanova aka The Black Widow, a Soviet-trained spy and expert tactician who works as an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D. As the Reverse Cop/Magnet, you use your extensive espionage training and psychological manipulation to gain information from enemies. You win when all the villains have been defeated. Abilities: Espionage (10 EP) [passive] - If someone targets you at night, you will investigate them to find out their alignment. If more than one person targets you, you will be asked to choose one to detect. Seduction (25 EP) - You can manipulate another player into targeting you with their night action (if any). You can then investigate them to find out their character name. Bonus Energy: Your tactics tend to make you look shady, but it works for you. You will receive 2 EP for each FoS you receive during the Day. Commentary: The Black Widow was going to be the cop, but since in the movie she both uses the tactic of getting herself captured to interrogate and using it to manipulate Loki into telling her his plans, I made a new role called the Reverse Cop. In the case that she couldn’t get people to target her, she had a back-up Magnet ability that forced it. On the one night that blrasmu had two people target him, he used his magnet ability and got Cap’s protection and investigated vga. Unfortunately, he maybe did too good a job of looking shady and got himself lynched before he could confirm vgaddict.You are Nick Fury, director of the law-enforcement agency S.H.I.E.L.D. and combat veteran in special operations. As the Message Sender/Night Lyncher, you use your director status and strategic skills to organize and advise the Avengers. You win when all the villains have been defeated. Abilities: Military Advice (5 EP) - You can send a secret anonymous message to another player. PM me the message and I will forward it to the intended recipient. It must be less than 20 words long. Avengers Initiative (25 EP) - You can organize a covert operation to assassinate another player. Choose 5 players that you would like to enlist; they will then be sent a PM to choose a target. If there is a majority choice between them, that player will be killed. Bonus Energy: As a combat veteran, you have much wisdom to share. For each post you make that is longer than 300 words (not including quotes), you will earn 3 additional EP. You can do this a max of 3 times per Day. Commentary: I really liked my Night Lyncher role, so when this came up, I found a chance to use it in Nick Fury! He secretly invites people to join his operations, so in this way he could use his messages to influence who they would vote, then when he had enough EP, he could implement it. robbiecon had a habit of trusting the mafia the whole game (though who can blame him, they played well), and in the end he made the fatal error of trusting them with ⅖ of the vote, which, after they collaborated on their votes, led to his own ironic suicide.You are Clint Barton aka Hawkeye, a master archer with exceptionable reflexes and eyesight. As the Russian Roulette, you wield an extensive arsenal of trick arrows which you fire at the enemy with superb accuracy. You win when all the villains have been defeated. Ability: Arrow Shot (12 EP) - You have a quiver of 8 arrows: 2 will block the target, 2 will randomize the target’s action, 2 will drain the target’s remaining energy, and 2 will kill the target. When you fire an arrow, it will be selected randomly from your quiver. Bonus Energy: You grew up in a carnival, and love to have a little fun. You can submit a guess on who you think will be lynched the following Day. If you are correct, you will earn 7 EP. PM me your choice before the Day begins. Commentary: Hawkeye was originally the one character from the movie that I was going to save as a fake claim, due to his relatively small role in the movie. But after watching the cartoon, I liked his character so I put him in place of the Scarlet Witch (chaos magic spells as Russian Roulette) and the Fantastic Four, who was originally going to be the Jack of Trades/Executioner (4 abilities, 4 votes). But there were enough protection abilities, so I threw in some offensive abilities. I’ve always thought it funny how Hawkeye always pulls out a different trick arrow, so this time it was Russian Roulette: he didn’t know which one he was shooting. Impereld did a decent job of getting enough EP, but still he only shot 2 arrows, a drain and a block, and I was shocked that he never sent in a bonus EP guess. He did a good enough job to get himself investigated by the mafia, but not good enough to help the Town. Another fatal error: claiming Daredevil instead of his actual role.You are Janet Van Dyne aka The Wasp, the fashionable, shrinking heroine and partner of Hank Pym. As the Psycho, you use powers granted to you from Hank’s biochemistry procedures to combat the enemies. You win when all the villains have been defeated. Ability: Choose a Target - Thanks to your partner Hank Pym (GameGuy), you now have superpowers. But it’s up to his science which power you receive (and use) each night. Choose a target to use this ability. Your EP and Ant-Man’s EP are combined, and he will spend them. You know his identity, but you may NOT talk with him privately. Bonus Energy: You are always itching to get out and fight crime! As such, for each person you vote during the Day, you will earn 1 additional EP. Commentary: The first thing that comes to mind for the Wasp and Ant-Man is masonry, which was the original role. But after reading their backstories, and how Hank Pym experimented on her to give her abilities, I thought it would be a perfect chance to use the Psycho/Telepath role. The Wasp is also the bold fighter while Ant-Man is more of a pacifist, so it fit as her being the Psycho part. The abilities I gave her were derived from Wasp’s abilities, as you can see below, and they were high EP usage because it was supposed to be both of them combined. Malick did a good job of getting EP for the two of them and he sent in his target every night, even when GG didn’t give him an ability. He somewhat rashly assumed that his targets had an effect each night though, and ended up outing himself and Kat in the process. If Ant-Man had died, the Wasp would have been stuck with the last ability that they had used, for the rest of the game, but the EP would still cost as much (or 30 if it was over max).You are Dr. Henry “Hank” Pym aka Ant-Man, the brilliant scientist who discovered and utilized size-altering “Pym particles”. As the Telepath, you are constantly performing experiments to bestow your partner Janet Van Dyne with superpowers and aid others. You win when all the villains have been defeated. Ability: Bioengineering - You can use your knowledge of biochemistry and physics to grant your partner, The Wasp (Malick), with one of the following special abilities. She will then use the ability that night, but will not know what ability. Your EP and The Wasp’s EP are combined. You know the Wasp’s identity, but you may NOT talk with her privately. You may not use the same ability two nights in a row. - Motivator (15 EP) - Allows the Wasp to pep another player, giving them a double-vote for the following Day. - Cheerleader (20 EP) - Allows the Wasp to come to another’s aid, ensuring their action goes through successfully. - Saboteur (25 EP) - Allows the Wasp to fire electrical stinger blasts, blocking the target from using their action. - Bodyguard (30 EP) - Allows the Wasp to fly and carry a player out of danger, but putting herself in danger in the process. If that player is targeted for death, there is a 50% chance she will die instead. - Hider (35 EP) - Allows the Wasp to shrink to miniature size and hide behind another player. If she is targeted, that player will receive the consequence. If that player is targeted, she will be targeted as well. - Watcher (40 EP) - Allows the Wasp to shrink and watch another player without being seen. She will learn who targeted that player that night. Bonus Energy: Your scientific mind likes to find the order in things. Each time that you post a full list of suspicions (with reasoning), you will earn 2 EP. You can do this a max of 3 times per Day (and must be different each time). Commentary: As I said above, Ant-Man was changed from a mason to a Telepath, which is funny because he has a helmet that allows him to telepathically communicate with ants, but in this case he just granted Wasp with powers using SCIENCE. Ant-Man had all the ability descriptions, but as he could not control who they would happen to, he would have to guess what the Wasp was thinking. I was kinda disappointed in GG’s failing to get much EP, but Malick made up for it on his end. Still, the only thing they ever did was use the Watcher role, which luckily caught NPR targeting monstrman. GG wanted to use the Watcher again, so he saved up his EP, but they never got enough; I think Motivator, Saboteur, or Hider could have helped the Town as well. In fact, had DarthPokey chosen to block on the last night, Malick would have prevented his own death. When Malick died, GG gained the ability to choose his target as well as the action, but he could only use the abilities with 30 EP or less.You are T'Challa aka The Black Panther, the king of Wakanda and stealthy, cat-like hunter. As the DNA Cop, you use your keen sense of smell to track the scents of friends and foes alike to defend your nation. You win when all the villains have been defeated. Abilities: Scent Memory (15 EP) - You can choose a recently killed player (during the past night or day phase) and memorize the scents of all the players who targeted them since the game began. Scent Detection (10 EP) - You can catch the scent of another living player and compare it to any of the scents in your memory. You will learn if their scent is a match, but not which player was targeted or what action they performed. Bonus Energy: Your intelligence and keen senses help you see through lies. For each post that you FoS another player, you will receive 1 EP, with a maximum of 6 per day. Commentary: Black Panther was another one of the roles that I added after I watched the cartoon, because he’s so cool. The first idea for him was a Tracker or Role Cop, utilizing his sense of smell, but I thought I would try out a new role, the DNA Cop. This role has a great potential to catch mafia, but it takes a while before it works, especially in this game when the first kill wasn’t until Night 2. Caleton actually caught kira on his first actual try, but I was disappointed that he didn’t follow through with lynching him, even after he claimed to have targeted her. He also did a good job of watching Malick, but unfortunately for him it was too late; Hellfire had already investigated Iron Man, so his invention was useless.

Mafia: You are Nathaniel Richards aka Kang The Conqueror, a time traveler from an advanced future of Earth who traveled back to conquer the world. As the Mafia Inventor/Time Killer, you use technology from the future and knowledge of the past to conquer the beings of the present. You win when all the Avengers and any other threats have been subdued. Abilities: Invention (10 EP) - You can summon an invention from the future that contains the ability of your choice. It will be given out at a random time during the first 24 hours of the Day. You are allowed to pick up your own items. An invention will take at least 5 EP to use, more depending on its power; I still reserve the right to balance them. Time Kill (16 EP) - This is a special kill. You can travel back to any previous Night and set in motion the death of another player. You will be affected by the actions of that Night rather than the current Night (blocks, protections, etc.). You cannot travel back to the same Night twice. Bonus Energy: Since you are from the future, you should be able to predict who will be lynched quite easily! You can submit a guess on who you think will be lynched the following Day. If you are correct, you will earn 7 EP. PM me your choice before the Day begins. Fake Claim: Quicksilver Mafia board: invadermafia.boards.netCommentary: Kang wasn’t one of the original Avengers villains in the game, but another one that I thought up after watching the cartoon, he’s fun. Another “inventor”, since he actually has no powers, just technology, and a new role I created for his time travel ability! At first I was gonna make him be able to block another player on a previous night, thus possibly changing all the subsequent nights and possibly saving a mafia member’s life (like from NPR). However, I thought this might be too overpowered, so I went with killing, but the death wouldn’t technically happen until the current night. Turns out, that was pretty powerful too, and I should have made it cost more EP, but they got unlucky with it and actually targeted Malick on a night he WAS protected, haha. Capcom was pretty inactive, and LMM as well, so he didn’t really get to invent anything either until TML came into the game. On the last night, he invented a naive detection device, but Hellfire accidentally picked it up! TML was consistently the player with the loooongest posts, and he had no problem getting EP because of it. He also correctly predicted blrasmu’s lynch.You are Loki, the Asgardian god of Lies and Mischief who wishes to crush Thor by taking over his beloved Midgard. As the Mafia Redirector/Infiltrator, you use your powerful magic spells to manipulate and deceive your opponents. You win when all the Avengers and any other threats have been subdued. Abilities: Redirector (18 EP) - You can use hypnosis to control the mind of another player, changing their target to the target of your choice. Infiltrator (15 EP) - This is a special kill. You can mask yourself in illusions using magic and use powerful long-range spells to kill another player. This has the effect of making your kill impossible to track, watch, or detect by other players. Bonus Energy: Being a master manipulator is your specialty. You will receive a word by PM each morning; if you can get someone to say the word, you will earn yourself 5 EP. The rules: you can’t tell your mafia partners the word, you can’t say the word yourself, and you can’t ask any off-topic questions. For instance, if the word is “balloon”, you couldn’t just ask “What is something made of rubber that floats?”. Fake Claim: Scarlet Witch Mafia board: invadermafia.boards.netCommentary: And Loki, coming straight from the movie. He was originally going to be the mafia’s Illusionist, as he can create ..well.. illusions, but after I added the Super Skrull, a real shapeshifter, it was unnecessary. Still, I put him in as an Infiltrator to somewhat fit the Illusionist power. Turns out that might have been overkill, and I should have thrown in some other ability for them; regardless, redirector was far more useful for them. I was surprised that they didn’t redirect NPR once they found out he was Doctor Doom. Anyways, monstrman was hit by NPR’s power erasing machine, which turned out to be quite useful for them. A mafioso who couldn’t be lynched or targeted, but could still throw them off-track? monstrman had a lot of fun with the stumping, adding to the confusion.You are Ultron, an intelligent robot created by Hank Pym which has its mind set on destroying the Avengers and replacing the humans with machines. As the Mafia Cop/Neutralizer, you have the ability to adapt your own mechanical body to withstand any threat that you discover. You win when all the Avengers and any other threats have been subdued. Abilities: Investigation (10 EP) - You can hack into the computer databases and surveillance network to investigate another player and find out their character name. Neutralizer (20 EP) - This is a special kill. If you have previously investigated any players, you can modify your robot body to be immune to their abilities when you perform the kill. You can use this to break through armor, bypass protection, avoid roleblocks, etc. depending on who you investigated. Bonus Energy: Being a robot, you process dialogue as an input of data. If at least 75% of your posts contain quotes, you will earn 5 EP. Fake Claim: The Vision Mafia board: invadermafia.boards.netCommentary: Ultron was one of the enemies that was originally “meh”, but turned out to be quite fun in the cartoon, so I changed my mind about him too. In the cartoon at least, he knows the Avengers’ powers after working with them, and so he specifically prepares his armor and weapons to counter them. Thus, a new role was created! Actually the Cop part of the role is paired with the Neutralizer part, as he only can be immune once he has investigated them; this role was somewhat tricky because they only got a character name and thus didn’t know the ability that would possibly be neutralized. However, the mafia did a good job with their detections and eventually knew a good majority of the Town’s characters. The special kill was only used once, but it did render Squeege’s item useless as well as ensure that impereld wouldn’t be able to block or kill him that night. Hellfire played a great Day game though, and he never garnered enough suspicion to be even close to being lynched. Malick seemed to catch on, but by the end it was too late.You are Kl’rt aka The Super-Skrull, the most powerful warrior in the Skrull empire who was genetically altered to wield the Fantastic Four’s powers. As the Mafia Jack of All Trades/Doppelganger, you use your shapeshifting ability as a Skrull and other augmented powers to assist the other invaders in taking control of the Earth. You win when all the Avengers and any other threats have been subdued. Abilities (you can only use each ability twice during the game): Bind (10 EP) - You can wrap your arms around another player, preventing them from performing their night action. Force field (10 EP) - You can generate a force field around another player, protecting them from being killed at night. Burn (10 EP) - You can scorch another player with fire, limiting them to 5 posts and no vote the following day while they tend to their burn wounds. Armor (10 EP) - You can turn into impenetrable rock, protecting yourself from being killed at night. Doppelganger (20 EP) - This is a special kill. You can kill another player and hide their body, leaving a generic Skrull to be found in their place. You will then shapeshift into their character, making you indistinguishable from them. If you die, you will return to your Skrull form though. Bonus Energy: As a loyal follower and right-hand man, you will receive 5 EP if you are the second vote on a lynch. Fake Claim: The Fantastic Four Mafia board: invadermafia.boards.netCommentary: This was the last mafia role I threw in the game, as originally we had Green Goblin as the Roleblocker/Janitor. It took over Loki’s Illusionist ability, as well as the Fantastic Four’s Jack of All Trades ability, since it fit quite well in the game. Super Skrull isn’t the best villain, but as one with so many abilities, he turned out quite powerful. kira was very active on Day 2, enough to get his 20 EP and use his Doppelganger ability, but after that he had trouble being quite as active. He did get to use his Armor though, but he might as well have saved the EP. I thought kira was always one of the more suspicious mafiosos, but he stuck with it and never got lynched!Indie: You are Victor von Doom aka Doctor Doom, the genius inventor and ruler of Latveria who uses his vast knowledge of technology and sorcery to exact his vengeance. As the Inventor/Stump SK, you are now scheming to take over the world using various inventions including a personal suit of armor and a power-stealing device. You will show no mercy to the mafia of world invaders who didn’t invite you to be their leader either. You win when all other players have been killed off or made powerless. Abilities: Invention (10 EP) - You can invent an item that contains an ability of your choice. It will be given out at a random time during the first 24 hours of the Day. You are allowed to pick up your own items. An invention will take at least 5 EP to use, more depending on its power; I still reserve the right to balance them. Armor (10 EP) [passive] - If someone attempts to kill you at night, you will survive, but your armor will require 10 EP to function. If you don’t have enough points in reserve, you will die. Power Erasure (20 EP) - You can activate a device that removes the superpowers of another player permanently. They will become a stump - unable to vote during the Day or use their ability at night. They may still be able to use items, however. This ability can bypass armors. Bonus Energy: Your arrogance and reign as a dictator has left you with a hunger for control. If you are the first vote on a lynch, you will receive an additional 6 EP. Fake Claim: Ms. Marvel Commentary: I actually decided that I wanted to put a Stump SK in the game before I even decided who it would be! I just knew that taking away powers was the perfect way to make that happen, I just didn’t know who would fit it. After toying with a minor villain like Anti-Venom, I finally found that Doctor Doom could steal powers, and boom, the role was born. He actually fit quite well since he has armor (which is good for an SK), could add another Inventor into the mix, and in the cartoon he was an independent, working against the Skrulls but not quite for the same cause as the Avengers. Anyways, NPR was thinking of doing a fake detection invention, but he decided to abstain the first night to save EP. I actually altered the role on Day 1 to make it more balanced, since giving Stumps items could effectively keep them in the game and making it go through Armors would make it more effective (and actually made sense). On Night 2, NPR was actually afraid of being watched that he changed his target twice... only to be watched anyways, haha. Poor NPR.

Oh!!! I really did not even think about redirecting Doctor Doom! That would have been smart!

Oh I had such fun with this game. When I got the Mafia Inventor role, I laughed maniacally because I knew Katty would hate me for getting that role again, even though I never really got to use it save as a throw away action on the last night. I actually was kind of telling the truth when I said that the role was meant for me... and I worried that, later on, I would be forced to explain exactly how that was. Thankfully... no one asked. I had a vague claim that might have flown, but I didn't know if people would buy it. The Mafia got angsty with me on D3 because my first big post pretty much spilled out -- theoretically -- all of the plans that the Mafia had crafted up until that point -- the fact that Linnet was really Town and the fact that the Mafia knew that NPR was anti-Town. But honestly, me leading the charge on getting NPR out of the game really solidified my presence in the game as a Townie for the most part. While Katty and a few others had me firmly in the Maybe column, I kept out of sight and out of mind mostly because I played such a strong intro and moved my way out of null reads. One of the things I was hoping wouldn't come up on the final day was the fact that I'd been on every single lynch train that the Town took. (So was Katty and Caleton, but whatever.) Thankfully, there was enough plausible deniability on both vgaddict and blrasmu that it probably could have slid past (not to mention that there was enough confusion surrounding Linnet to really keep things flexible) that I could have gotten around it, but as I was looking for evidence on someone to lynch the last day, I looked and saw that I really didn't have a good record myself. Kira and I had to coordinate our posts in order to win the final day, I have to admit. I was supposed to be home from work earlier yesterday, but unfortunately because of things at work, I ended up having to stay an additional three hours. Yet still somehow we managed to sync up and get the final vote done. And after this game, I firmly believe that Katty will never trust me in a Mafia game ever again. XD

That game sucked. None of vgaddict, robbiecon, impereld, or game guy were mafia. So lame. Honestly, the only one I was really surprised about was monstrman. At first I had been trying to keep an open mind that he could be mafia, but eventually I forgot about it, and assumed he was town. Though I did totally call that he might be mafia day 1.... And with Hellfire, I'm kinda proud of cuz I was thinking he was mafia from the beginning. I just never really had any evidence, so I never went anywhere with it. TML, honestly it made total sense he was mafia, I was always thinking he might be. But he just played too well, so I never was quite sure. He never really incriminated himself ever. And kirawillwin I totally knew was mafiaaaa. I feel so stupid that I even detected him killing linnet, and I went nowhere with it. Like I really should have been more forceful with that. But it was because we just killed so many townies, I lost all self-confidence. D: Also, I just noticed that when I revealed what I knew about kira, like NOONE commented on it at all. Which makes sense since both tml and hellfire were mafia, so they just avoided the subject. And there weren't many other players active enough to comment. And now I get why you were so bandwagon crazy, cuz of the whole EP bonus. All in all, mafia, really well played. You guys totally deserved to win. I don't think I'm gonna play mafia again for a while, but this game was very fun. Really depressing, and frustrating, and it made me feel really stupid. Like, I kinda feel very responsible for the town's loss. Cuz I feel like I killed miracle fassad, and blrasmu. And I totally voted vgaddict a few minutes before the day ended, even though i didn't really think he was mafia. And I also voted for robbiecon on the "night lynch"... But it was fun. Also I think this is like the first game I've ever lived to end game

I read through the whole mafia forum. And you guys were really competent. Other than the no kill first night....
But like the entire game, I was questioning everything I thought, because I always imagined the mafia to be some super intelligent conspiracy. So I couldn't trust anything, because they would know what I would think before I thought it, and use it against me. And then I started thinking, I bet the mafia is actually not even doing anything and its all inactives. And honestly, I'm kinda glad it wasn't all inactives, because it made the game definitely more fun.
And then the last day after the lynch that happened in like 2 minutes, I was so angry, because it was just a feeling of complete helplessness. Like, Hellfire's last vote was so dang scummy. And I was so pissed at kira for being really inactive, and then popping up at the last second to do a final lynch out of nowhere. But I couldn't yell at them, because they were all mafia, and weren't trying to make the town win... >_>

Aw, don't feel bad, Caleton. I thought you were one of the stronger players in the Town this game, and though you had some wrong suspicions (but really, the mafia fooled all of the Town), I noticed that you are a more responsible and articulate poster now, just perhaps out of practice. If you had fun, you should stay!

haha tml you aren't quite accurate- I still trust you in mafia games, just not in mafia games on DEM. It's like Inverse Rule of Kat! :3
And with TML/Caleton...I really should have worked harder to nail TML because his case on Caleton was just so...bad. And the "meant for me" thing, I figured you were just town with a weird role or something..... D;

heh. thanks. I remember being confused as to why my count was so low. I assumed I hadn't posted enough. Although, it didn't matter anyway since I used the camera. Which also didn't matter anyway since hellfire broke it.
