Hello there, my name is Stan Lee, and my co-host here is Jack Kirby. We’ll be your narrators for this new adventure! We will be telling the story of our finest creations, an epic story about a battle between good and evil forces. On one side, a group of superheroes, with a variety of backgrounds and abilities, who are devoted to keeping the world safe from destruction and injustice; on the other side, a coalition of some of the world’s most menacing and dangerous villains, bent on conquering the entire world to achieve their own ambitions. It is a tale of mystery and deception, and a war not only of physical abilities, but of minds. Who will be the victor? Well, I won’t spoil the ending yet, but you’re in for an exciting journey...
Our story begins on a S.H.I.E.L.D. quinjet, a special division specializing in countering in homeland threats. A woman is receiving a classified communication...
Maria Hill turned on the monitor that allowed her to communicate through video to other agencies across the globe. This particular call was from a space center owned by the S.W.O.R.D. department. The agent on the other end of the call was nervous, which piqued Agent Hill’s attention.
“What is it, agent?”
“Agent Hill, we have an urgent matter. An unidentified space vessel has just passed through Earth’s atmosphere, and is now headed towards what seems to be a desert in the western U.S. Our attempts to scan the ship for lifeforms was unsuccessful, and the styles of the ship are unlike anything we’ve seen before. We’re worried... I'm requesting assistance from S.H.I.E.L.D. to check this out.”
“Find the exact coordinates for the projected landing site. I’ll inform my team to send agents to the area immediately to rendezvous with them.”
After getting the location and ending the call, Maria Hill gathered her team together and set off to the site. The agents were in place to intercept the vessel as it landed. Agent Hill started a phone communication with her superior, who gave the order to proceed as planned. A squadron of quinjets surrounded the space ship and fired cables around it, capturing it. They led the vessel to a nearby base, at Area 41, and grounded it in a secure landing bay. But as soon as the vehicles had all landed, the vessel opened fire. Catching all of them off guard, it began to destroy everything, quinjets, S.H.I.E.L.D. humvees and all the agents who attempted to board the ship. Agent Hill called for backup, and all the superheroes in the base were summoned. War Machine was the first on the scene; he managed to take out the ship’s firing weapons but not without sustaining critical injuries.
With the vessel finally at rest, the remaining agents began to force entry on board. Agent Hill ascended into the vessel to meet the ship’s inhabitants. They were shocked to find no one on board though, except a message that read “Nice try, primitives, but you’re no match for our combined power. Your world will be ours!” The ship then exploded in a ball of fire and shrapnel, destroying the entire landing bay and obliterating all the agents. This meant war.
S.H.I.E.L.D. began by calling a meeting of all available superheroes. They would be the pinnacle of hope for the Earth, the first line of defense against these mysterious invaders. These scientists, soldiers, and leaders began to build up a strategy on how to take on the threat. Daredevil had been acting a bit strange throughout the ordeal, as if something wasn’t right; suddenly, he fell down on the table and began to foam at the mouth; he managed to scribble a short message on the table before he collapsed. It read, “They are here...” The other heroes began to ponder what he meant... could it mean that the invaders were hiding amongst them, disguised as other superheroes? With Daredevil now deceased, it certainly appeared that way, and if anyone could catch on, it was him. But they weren’t going to be taken down from the inside, they were going to give it their best fight. The base was first sealed off so that no one could leave. They then began to look closer at each other to see if they could find which of them were the imposters. The game of minds had begun.
It is now Day 1.

Everyone must read the rules! There are important additions!
Standard Rules:
1. No Outside Communication
Do not discuss the game outside the game thread with other players, unless you have a role that allows you to do so (such as Masons or Mafia members). This rule applies even if you are stumped.
2. No editing posts
Do not edit your posts. Reading over people’s posts is crucial for allowing players to scrutinize each other. The first and second infringements will result in EP deductions and warnings. The third will result in a mod-kill or replacement. If you must address a mistake in your post, just make a double post and state your change instead (EBWOP).
3. No quoting PMs from the Moderators
Don’t quote a PM that you have received from the GM, whether it be your Role PM or an action result. Do not fake one either. Both of these will result in a mod-kill. This is not a legal suicide move either.
4. No posting after death
After you are dead in the game, you may no longer post in the game, except to make one “goodbye” post which reveals NO info. You may not communicate with any player still in the game either. This rule also applies to being replaced.
5. No posting during the Night
I will lock the thread during the Night phase to keep players from posting. This is to ensure that no info gained during the Night is revealed prematurely.
6. Bold your Votes
To vote for a player, make sure to highlight your vote by making it bold. You should also change the text color to red. This is to ensure that the Moderator sees the vote when making a count. It should look like this:
Vote: Erniewan

7. Send PMs to the Game Moderator
Send any Night actions to me (Admin) within the time limit. If you have any issues or questions concerning the game or roles, PM me.
Breaking rules will result in either a warning, replacement, EP deduction, or mod-kill depending on the severity of the infringement.[/spoiler]
Special Rules for this game:
1. This game uses an EP system. EP stands for “Energy Points”, and each player starts with 0 EP. I will tell you how many EP you have at the beginning of each Night phase, and you will be able to use your EP for abilities based on how many points you have.
2. There are several ways to earn EP:
a) The easiest way to earn EP is by posting. You receive 1 EP for each post you make; you can earn a maximum of 15 EP by posting. Excessively short or off-topic posts will not be counted. Since softguitar and I will be counting these posts every day, we reserve the right to judge which posts will be counted and which will not.
b) Just by having a vote, you will receive 1 EP. If you have a vote at the end of the Day, this will be bumped to 3 EP. If your vote leads to a lynch, you will earn 5 EP instead.
c) The top poster for the Day will receive 2 additional EP.
d) If you achieve your bonus energy condition, you will receive the appropriate number of EP.
e) There may be role(s) that boost or take away EP from other players.
f) Some items may contain some EP instead of an ability.
g) Each post that is longer than 300 words will receive 2 EP rather than 1 EP. The longest post for the Day will earn the poster an additional 2 EP.
3. After the hammer vote on a lynch (or the deadline, in the case of no lynch), the Day will change to Twilight phase. The game will be locked when I am able, and EP can no longer be earned. Softguitar and I will use this chance to tabulate the EP and send out the PMs. The narration/flip will then be posted and Night will begin. It might be in your best interest to refrain from hammering until you’ve gotten all the EP you plan to.
4. You can store EP from Night to Night (in fact, this might be necessary for some abilities). But the maximum EP you can have at any time is 30 EP. Anything over that will be dropped. This is to provide incentive to keep earning EP throughout the game.
5. You cannot transfer EP, unless it came in an Item.
6. Speaking of items, there may be Items in the game. If so, they will be dropped at a random time during the first 24 hours of the Day (or somewhat random, I won’t drop them when I’m asleep, of course). First person to pick up the item gets it, so it’s in your best interest to stay alert.
7. You can send an Item to another player. You should do this during the Day phase, and it will reach them before Night phase.
8. You can only perform one action each Night, even if you have enough points to perform more. This includes Items, which will have their own specific EP.
9. If you have a passive ability that requires EP, these will be spent when the ability takes place, if enough are in reserve after your action. For instance, if your action takes 15 EP, and your passive ability takes 10 EP, you’d need 25 EP at the start of the night to use your passive. You could abstain if you had less, to ensure that your passive ability will go through.
10. You are NOT allowed to share your bonus energy condition with the other players. If you reveal, confirm, or imply that a certain behavior is your bonus, you will no longer receive EP for that bonus. Don’t ask about another person’s bonus energy either, keep it to yourself. If you have any question about this, ask me.
11. If your action is blocked, you still use up the EP.
Town win condition: "You win when all the villains have been defeated."
PM me if you have any other questions.
