Here's a compilation of the roles that played in this game.
Osric Temper, ArmorPlayed by robbiecon
You are Duke
Osric Temper, town-aligned
Armor. As the foremost knight of Enroth, you are immune to nightkills, and any items that would kill you. You are not immune to poison. You've been given a
Crossbow to help you in the crusade
Item:
Crossbow - Use it to intimidate someone into being roleblocked. Gone after one use.
Notes: The crossbow was given to robbiecon because he didn't have a night action; a one-shot roleblock could be helpful. You DID end up getting a
Scroll of Healing Touch from a dungeon, but that eventually found its way to the mafia.
But to the general dismay of the town, the Armor was killed on Night 4. I mean, nobody expects the Armor to die overnight! But it was due to CP's poison.
Longfang Witherhide, VigilantePlayed by Squeege (replaced commonyoshi)
You are
Longfang Witherhide, the dragon of Darkmoor. As the town-aligned
Vigilante, you have the ability to nightkill someone during the night. This is a dangerous role - you have the potential to devastate the town. You win when all threats to the town have been extinguished.
Notes: commonyoshi was inactive for quite some time, but he did manage to get a
Black Potion from a dungeon, which would later be used by Squeege.
Squeege was amazing. Like I said earlier, he comes out of nowhere, punches flying, and goes after all of the mafiats. He almost single-handedly won the game. If you had replaced a little earlier, you might have made a difference.
Wilbur Humphrey, RolecopPlayed by Puppyduck
You are Regent
Wilbur Humphrey, town-aligned
Rolecop. Each night, you have the ability to investigate someone to try to identify their role. You win when all threats to the town are gone.
Notes: Although you kept trying to detect blrasmu, you just would have detected him as Doctor due to his Godfather ability. You were able to confirm NPR, Jamis, impereld, and Crav, and you being a town leader didn't hurt their chances.
The mafia ended up being too skilled, or lucky, or whatever though. They shifted suspicion onto blrasmu and Darthpokey while keeping captiainoblivious and Captain Planet in the light.
Oh, and Darthpokey was the one who cursed you.
Anthony Stone, DoctorPlayed by Worthy Protoplasm
You are High Priest
Anthony Stone, ruler of the village of Rockham. As the town-aligned
Doctor, you can protect someone from being nightkilled each night. You may not protect yourself. You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.
Notes: It always hurts to have the doctor janitored, and impereld was the only one to know his true identity. Coincidentally, blrasmu also claimed to be Anthony Stone late in the game. This got him lynched.
Fun fact: After Night 3, Puppyduck had no protection whatsoever. He could have been killed at any time after that, but no one wanted to try it - especially since the mafia had tried to kill him Night 3.
Erik von Stromgard, RoleblockerPlayed by robbiecon (replaced Pyroguy42)
You are Marquis
Erik von Stromgard, town-aligned
Roleblocker. Each night, you can use your authority to prevent someone from taking any actions. You win when there are no threats to the town left.
Notes: Roleblockers can be extremely helpful to the town, but this was not the case for this game. Kira was blocked Night 1, which had no effect. NPR was later roleblocked - which had no effect - and then he blocked Meow, who was going to track him and probably prove his innocence.
In robbiecon's defense though, it can be disorienting switching from one role to another in a game.
Nicolai Ironfist, TrackerPlayed by Meow
You are Prince
Nicolai Ironfist, town-aligned heir to the throne. Your father Roland Ironfist was kidnapped by devils, but as the
Tracker, you are still capable of protecting the town. Each night, you can track someone to identify who they targeted that night. You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.
Notes: I was originally going to make Meow a Hostage and kira a Captor, but I decided a traitor would balance it out more. That led to Meow being made the Tracker.
Due to horrible luck or something, Meow kept seeing townies target townies who would be killed. (Ex: Puppyduck targeting wave57 N2, NPR targeting robbiecon N4). He was able to see Puppyduck target Jamis N3, which sort of proved Jamis's Magnet role.
Albert Newton, InventorPlayed by wave57
You are Lord
Albert Newton, High Sorcer of Enroth and ruler of the island of Mist. As the town-aligned
Inventor, you have the ability to create an item each night. However, the process is unpredictable, so you can only choose to create a weapon (Offense), armor (Defense), or item (Misc). A random item of the type you chose will be created. In an effort to show off your genius, you can't just use these items yourself, so you should send them to someone you trust. You win when there are no threats left to the town.
Notes: I wanted there to be an Inventor pumping out items to supply the town with the means to defend itself, but sadly, wave was killed before he could make a difference.
Falagar, Poison Doctor/Poison CopPlayed by NPR
You are
Falagar, the town-aligned
Poison Doctor/Poison Cop. You have two abilities. Every night, you can target someone. You will then be notified if they are the
Poisoner or not. Your other ability is that you passively create a
Purple Potion every other night, which can be used to cure or prevent poison. You start with one. You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.
Item:
Purple Potion - Protects from being poisoned. If someone attempts to poison you, this will automatically be used. Can also cure poison, also automatically.
Notes: Poison Doctors are boring. You just sit there stockpiling antidotes until someone asks for one. So I thought, hey, why don't I add something to this? I gave NPR the ability to try to find the Poisoner.
You ended up determining that blrasmu wasn't the Poisoner, and that kept him alive for a little longer. You later tried to use the ability you gained from a dungeon on him, but you were blocked. Even if you weren't, it wouldn't have had an effect.
Also, I hope you learned something about explosive deaths here. Nobody likes them.
The Oracle, Saint/MasonPlayed by monstrman
You are
The Oracle, town-aligned
Saint/Mason. The world looks to you for guidance in times of trouble, and if you are lynched, the first person to vote for you would be killed by your followers. You also have a one-shot ability, Wizard Eye - when used, you will be told which players, if any, targeted you that night. You're masoned with Erniewan, so feel free to communicate with him outside of the game. You win when all threats to the town are gone.
Notes: One of the two Masons in the game, monstrman was killed by poison Night 2. I'm not sure how much communication he had with Erniewan, but I doubt there would have been much at this point in the game.
The Seer, Cheater/MasonPlayed by Erniewan
You are
The Seer, a mystic who lives in the mountains. As the town-aligned
Cheater/Mason, you have the ability to divine a random person's role each night. You will not learn who it belongs to. You also have a one-shot ability, Wizard Eye - when used, you will be told which players, if any, targeted you that night. You're masoned with monstrman, so feel free to communicate with him outside of the game. You win when there are no threats to the town left.
Notes: Having your mason partner killed off is devastating, and Night 2 pretty much neutralized half of Erniewan's role. Still, he was able to find that there was an Illusionist in the game.
Night 5, Erniewan found that there was a Mafia Doctor in the game. This would be crucial information for the town to have, but he was killed by blrasmu (the Mafia Doctor) that very night.
Agar, One-shot VigilantePlayed by RN (Rockin'Ness)
You are the lich
Agar, legendary experimentalist. As the town-aligned
One-shot Vigilante, you have a single kill that you can use throughout the entire game. When you choose to use this nightkill, you will suck the life out of the target using Moonray, giving yourself an additional life. This additional life will not come into play if you are lynched by the town - you'd be dead for good if that happened. You win when all threats to the town have been defeated.
Notes: The one-shot kill would have given RN an additional life. He never used his kill, but Night 6 he tried to use an item to determine robbiecon's role, character, and alignment. He was killed that night.
Thanks for playing in my game, Rockin'Ness.
Loretta Fleise, AlchemistPlayed by Miracle Fassad
You are lady
Loretta Fleise, baroness of the town of Silver Cove. As the town-aligned
Alchemist, you have a very unusual role. Every other night, you can create a potion of your choice. You can brew a
Red Potion (Doctoring), a
Yellow Potion (Prevent roleblocking) or a
Blue Potion (restore one-shot abilities). If you have one of each type, you can combine them to create a potent
Black Potion, which will allow the drinker to take two actions in one night. You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated.
Notes: This was a role of my own creation. Miracle Fassad would create potions that would be beneficial to the people who received them, and impereld may have been able to restock his kills with a
Blue Potion. However, MF chose to anger everyone, including myself, by refusing to be active. It was probably because he's been running his own game, but he could have asked for a replacement. Come on, man!
Lord Kilburn, MagnetPlayed by Jamis
You are
Lord Kilburn, the town-aligned
Magnet. Each night, you can redirect someone's night action onto yourself. This is a dangerous role, but you are supported by your
Lord Kilburn's Shield. You win when there are no threats to the town left.
Item:
Lord Kilburn's Shield - If someone attempts to take your life, this shield will automatically save you. Will disappear after it's used.
Notes: Playing as a Magnet can be fun, especially when you're given an item that gives you an extra life. Unfortunately, he was only able to redirect the rolecop's action onto himself, which might have been helpful (proving his role, after all) if people hadn't tried to kill him Night 4 and Night 5.
Archibald Ironfist, Evil Uncle/TraitorPlayed by kirawillwin
You are
Archibald Ironfist, Nicolai Ironfist's evil uncle. As the
Evil Uncle/Traitor, you will be converted to the mafia if they target you at all. You have a very difficult role - until you are converted, your only night action will be to take your nephew to the circus. You cannot take him to the circus two nights in a row. You can only win the game if you are converted to the mafia, and they win.
The members of the Cult of Baa are blrasmu, captainoblivious, Captain Planet, and penguinbound. Use this knowledge to try to get them to convert you.
Notes: kira only could have won with the mafia, so he was under pressure to not get them lynched. Unfortunately he was the first one to be lynched, so the mafia was disappointed.
And you never got to take Meow to the circus...
Slicker Silvertongue, Godfather/Mafia DoctorPlayed by blrasmu
You are cult leader
Slicker Silvertongue, mafia
Godfather/Mafia Doctor. Each night, you can protect one of your fellow mafiats from being nightkilled. If you are investigated, you will appear as Doctor. If you make the mafia kill, you yourself will be protected from being nightkilled. You win when all threats to the mafia have been eliminated, and the mafia makes up a majority of the town.
Notes: This was a pretty standard Godfather role, I thought. It was either between making a mafia Spy or mafia Doctor, and I chose Doctor.
Since you would be detected as Doctor, and you could protect yourself, this pretty much made you a powerhouse. It didn't prevent you from being lynched though, which probably resulted from not being able to defend yourself right at the end. You survived long enough to give your team the win though.
Devil Captain, PoisonerPlayed by Captain Planet
You are a soldier of Baa, the
Devil Captain, mafia-aligned
Poisoner. Each night, you can scratch someone with your filthy claws, poisoning them for three nights (including the night it's used on). Poisoned players have a 20% chance of dying each night. If you make the mafia kill, on the following day, the first person to say the target's (full) name will become poisoned for two nights. You win when all threats to the mafia have been eliminated, and the mafia makes up a majority of the town.
Notes: The captain plays the captain. This was sort of an experimental role, I wanted to see how the town would react to people being poisoned out of the blue. Unfortunately, CP only made one kill, so there was just the one "wtf?" reaction. Poor Crav.
Seeing as how you won the game, I'd say you played excellently. Lynching blrasmu with your double vote gave the town confidence in you, and I think that's what led Puppyduck to vote for Squeege on the last day. Good job.
Andover Potbello, IllusionistPlayed by captainoblivious
You are a follower of the Cult of Baa,
Andover Potbello. As the mafia-aligned
Illusionist, you can target someone each night and make them appear whatever role you want them to be. If they are investigated, they will appear as what you wanted them to. You win when all threats to the mafia have been eliminated, and the mafia makes up a majority of the town.
Notes: You were definitely a decent player, keeping attention away from yourself while giving advice to your teammates in the background.
On the night that Squeege killed you, he used a
Black Potion then tried to kill you and DP. Impereld roleblocked him, which took away one of his kills. You only died because of the random number generator.
Cuisinart, Silencer/VoteblockerPlayed by Darthpokey (replaced penguinbound)
You are the
Cuisinart, a mafia-aligned undead warlord. As the
Silencer/Voteblocker, you can target someone each night and instill fear into their heart. The next day, they will be unable to vote, and will only be able to make three posts. If you make the mafia kill, you will be able to take any items that the target was carrying. You win when all threats to the mafia have been eliminated, and the mafia makes up a majority of the town.
Notes: Since there were a lot of items in this game, I wanted the mafia to have some kind of way of reaping them. This is where Darthpokey's kill ability comes in. Sadly, it was only once put to use, but the mafia never had a chance to use the item they got.
Fun fact: Both impereld and Squeege tried to kill you the day after you got the town to lynch robbiecon.
Ethric the Mad, Serial KillerPlayed by impereld
You are the lich
Ethric the Mad, independent-aligned
Serial Killer/Janitor. Will the town is busy trying to uncover the Cult of Baa, you should use the chaos to strengthen your hold on the world. You have three one-shot abilitites. The first is an ordinary nightkill - you can kill someone on the night that it is used. Your second ability is Reanimate - you can kill someone and bring them back as a
Skeleton Warrior on the same night. The reanimated skeleton will be completely under your control, and will be able to roleblock a single player each night. Your final ability is Shrinking Ray - you can kill someone by shrinking their body into nothingness, effectively janitoring them. You will learn their role. You win when you are the last surviving person in the game.
You also start with two items,
Poppysnaps and a
Nightshade Amulet.Item:
Poppysnaps - Use these to poison someone for the next 3 nights. They will have a 20% chance of dying each night. Gone after one use.
Item:
Nightshade Amulet. - Curses the target, causing their actions to have a 50% chance of failing for the next three nights. Gone after one use.
Notes: I wanted to make a special SK with a janitor kill, because I thought they would be able to utilize it the most. It just ended up confusing the mafia.
I felt that since I was giving you special kills, there should be a limit.
You played pretty well, but you used all of your kills too early. It would have made things easier to save a kill until endgame, where you would need it the most. And you didn't seem to care about your janitored kill at all, you never denied Puppyduck's investigation. Hell, after you killed the doctor, you should have went right for him!
Seeker Bot, Survivor/Item ThiefPlayed by Crav
You are an independently-aligned
Seeker Bot. As the
Survivor/Item Thief, you will be able to target someone each night and take an item that they are carrying. If they don't have any items, then you will get nothing. Since your sole mission is to protect your own technology, you win the game if you are still alive at the end, regardless of whether the town or mafia wins.
Notes: You came
so close. If Captain Planet's poison ability hadn't kicked in, you probably would have made it to the end. The odds were ridiculous though - you were the only person without a
Purple Potion at the time, and it only had a 20% chance of killing you. AND you only sent your
Purple Potion away the last night due to a misunderstanding. CP lucked out here.
And I find it funny that the only items you stole were impereld's starting stuff.
I'll bring the actions up later.
