Are there any good TV Shows on this summer? Most of the shows I watch finished their season finales and don't come back until this Fall or next year. D: I've been watching The Mole, but hardly anything else, so it'd be nice to have some good recommendations.

I haven't watched ANY television the whole two weeks I've been out of school. I was interested in this gameshow though. It's based off the silly ones found in Japan. It's called "I Survived A Japanese Gameshow" premiering June 24th on ABC. So that's Wednesday.
Other than that, I'm not interested in anything this summer. Everything is a reality TV show which sucks.

I absolutely detest Hell's Kitchen. To me, it's pretty pathetic to watch a guy shout and swear at contestants to move their butts and cook something decent.
Sorry. Not interested. PRetty stupid, though....
Of course, this is just my opinion.
Haha, I have no TV show recommendations whatsoever. I'm re-watching the first season of Heroes, watching Scrubs and Pushing Daisies. That's pretty much my TV life, minus music channel and random movies.

I agree. The method of yelling at someone to get results is terribly outdated. I just feel bad for everyone on that show. It's 99% yelling from the chef, and 1% reaction from the people. It doesn't even have to be about cooking; it could be about anything. I had a lot more respect for Chef Ramsey's other short-lived show, "Kitchen Nightmares". At least he wasn't a prick in that one, and he genuinely helped some people out. "Wipeout" was hilarious, and fun to watch if you have nothing else to do. It's pretty much about dumb people doing ridiculous challenges that are near-impossible. Even better when out of shape people go on it. "I Survived a Japanese Gameshow" was really disappointing. It was more of a reality show than it was a bunch of people doing stupid challenges. TV drama is lame and it's why I hate reality TV. The stuff they had to do wasn't even that hard/stupid. I'd rather watch YouTube videos of Japanese gameshows.

Thanks to LordManiMani for the recommendation, Firefly was amazing. Late I know, but I am now one of those who wished it hadn't gotten cancelled.
I'm also probably gonna watch The 4400 this week, from what I hear it's decent.

I watched The 4400, and it was a lot like Heroes, I actually liked it and immediately signed the petition after finishing the last episode (it probably won't do any good, but hey I wish it was back on). Anyone have any recommendations for other good shows that everyone ought to watch (since there don't seem to be many good ones on right now)? Here's my own big list of TV shows I've seen and liked (some of them due to your recommendations : Lost Heroes The Office Firefly Arrested Development Pushing Daisies Smallville That '70s Show Battlestar Galactica The 4400 The Lost Room The Mole

First off, let me recommend "Big Guy and Rusty". It was a cartoon on Fox Kids about eight years ago, and like all the shows I love, it got cancelled prematurely. The great thing is that all 26 episodes are on YouTube so check it out if you get the chance.
Malcolm in the Middle is another favorite if you've never seen it. I dont know if you would want to watch straight through though. To me it's always been a show you could just sit back and watch whenever it's on, not the type where you just cant wait to finish another episode. But the show is reliable all the way from season 1 to the end, and you cant say that about many long standing series.

Oh yeah, I've seen Malcom in the Middle a couple times. That and Scrubs, another funny show.

I've been watching Fringe recently (by J.J. Abrams) and I've enjoyed it so far. It's a fascinating show about a team of FBI agents and scientists that study some strange occurrences. Very eerie at times, and also interesting. Of course some of the things they study are quite unbelievable as it is "fringe" science, but I'm sure if you like science-fiction or crime investigation then you'll enjoy this show.

Firefly is amazing. Everyone here should watch it. It's a western in space.
Also, I've just recently started watching Doctor Who. It's very good. It's Britain's equivalent to America's Star Trek. It's a scifi that everyone in Britain has hear about. It's really good. It ran for about 17 seasons and they just started making a remake. It's now up to 4 seasons on the remake. And I'm on season 2. Anyone here watches it?

Haha, I rewatched the first episode today (Serenity) while I was off the Internet. It was still great. I've also started watching Doctor Who, by LMM's recommendation (and also 24). He said he'd watch Lost if I watched Doctor Who. Season 2 is still downloading though.

I'm halfway through my 24 marathon (Season 2). It's gonna be a long night...
Hehe, I actually did it. I wouldn't recommend it though, unless you have someone to watch with you. The show itself was awesome, but I probably could have gotten just as much enjoyment splitting it up between a few days. It was neat to be in sync with the show though.

Also, I've just recently started watching Doctor Who. It's very good. It's Britain's equivalent to America's Star Trek. It's a scifi that everyone in Britain has hear about. It's really good. It ran for about 17 seasons and they just started making a remake. Doctor Who started in 1963, Star Trek in 1966, so that would reverse your statement. But it really isn't true either way. Doctor Who is much more whimsical--and has been from the beginning. It's a Time Travel-focused show too, rather than a Space Exploration series. Finally, the new series isn't really a remake, as it carries the same story canon and universal history as the old series. But after the end of the original series ended in the late 80's, there was only a TV-movie in 1996 in terms of visual media until 2004 when they brought it back with Christopher Eccleston. Maybe we should have a separate topic for the good Doctor?
Shows I'm currently watching and/or getting caught up on: 24 The Office How I Met Your Mother Lost Battlestar Galactica House, MD Heroes Pushing Daisies Sanctuary Doctor Who Life on Mars (UK) Frasier WKRP in Cincinnati

Seems all the good shows are going on hiatus during summer break... any word on any good ones slated to show during the summer? Or maybe I'll just have to catch up on other shows.

The Goode Family's commercials remind me of King of the Hill humor so that might turn out well. I just hope it's not all eco friendly jokes because that can get boring really fast... unlike propane and propane accessories.

I'm going to recommend Castle to anyone who's a Nathan Fillion fan, or who likes a humorous, but still intelligent, crime show.

*Wants more Firefly*
I watched The Big Bang Theory, it's pretty funny with all the nerd jokes.
I'm almost done with Season 6 of 24 and just finished Season 4 of House. Great shows.

Yea, love Big Bang Theory. Though I don't like how they depict Kutrapalli...but I guess it is similar to some traditional Indians. Gotta catch up with 24, though I gave up on House once they killed Kutner. Suicide...really?!?!?
