Here's the final theme of the game, one of my favorites too. Listen while you read the narration! blrasmu awoke in the morning to find that her door had been sealed shut and barricaded. After several minutes of unsuccessfully breaking the door open, she smashed the window with the butt of her rifle and crawled out, scraping herself with pieces of glass on the way out. Assuming that it was Worthy Protoplasm who had blocked her in, she stormed to his dwelling to demand an explanation. Perhaps not surprisingly, he was nowhere to be found, but neither was monstrman. She walked out into the nearby jungle, where she spotted the two of them in the distance. monstrman and Worthy Protoplasm were involved in an intense skirmish within the trees up ahead. Worthy Protoplasm threw some bolas at monstrman, entangling his legs and bringing him tumbling to the ground. He grabbed a nearby branch and swung it down on monstrman, cracking it on his shoulder. monstrman swiped at him with his hunting knife, leaving a slight gash across Worthy's legs. Worthy backed off in pain, which gave monstrman enough time to cut himself free and jump back to his feet. He was met with a tooth-breaking punch to his face, and a firm kick in the stomach. monstrman doubled over in pain, but again tried to stab at Worthy with his knife, this time at his chest. Worthy smashed down onto his arm with another branch, knocking the knife out of his grasp. Instinctively, monstrman jumped down to recover the knife, but he was met with a knee to the head, knocking him onto his back. Worthy picked up the knife, and threw it at monstrman, stabbing him in the chest. blrasmu was already running into the jungle to help, but she couldn't get a clear shot through the trees. When she was finally close enough, she aimed the rifle at Worthy Protoplasm, and told him to back away from monstrman. He obliged and went to the side to check on his leg. blrasmu leaned down to see how monstrman was doing, but he was in terrible condition; the knife had pierced his heart, and within minutes he was dead. monstrman was John Locke, Saboteur, Townblrasmu stood up and pointed the rifle in Worthy Protoplasm's face, who just stood there nonchalantly. "Listen," he said to her, "I know where your daughter is. She's been safe all these years and I'll gladly take you to her if you don't kill me." She asked, "And why should I trust you? You just killed this man." "Because I can get you and your daughter off of this Island, I promise. The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated; the Island is safe now with me as the new Protector - I was just doing what had to be done." The two of them walked a mile across the Island, blrasmu never letting her rifle down for a second, until they reached a hidden temple. Having been there before, Worthy Protoplasm led her through a back entrance, through a corridor, and finally they were in a large chamber where a few younger and older people were dwelling. She suddenly spied a girl who looked like a younger version of herself, dropped her rifle, and ran to embrace her. "Alex! It's me, your mother!" she exclaimed joyfully. The girl didn't recognize her at first, but after a few minutes of explaining everything, they both held each other as mother and daughter, with blrasmu weeping tears of joy for the first time in years. blrasmu was Danielle Rousseau, Survivor of all Trades, IndependentIn the next few hours, Worthy Protoplasm showed them to an outrigger canoe that was stashed near a bay, and handed them a compass and the coordinates to the freighter, the Kahuna. The freighter would soon leave back for the mainland, and they could head back to live the rest of their lives together. He would remain on the Island, leading the remaining Others as the Island's new Protector, and maintaining its power for themselves. He and the Others set up a memorial for his fallen comrades who had given up their lives in the battle against the plane crash survivors and freighter crew. He gazed over the sandy beaches, towering hills, and lush jungles, and hoped for prosperity and security on the Island for the years to come. This was quite the amazing game. I enjoyed everything about it up to my death and I knew WP would stick to the end and win it for the Others. My first true Mafia win .

awesome. I was really worried there at the end that monstr was going to block me and everything I'd done so far would be wrecked immediately >.> also my favorite moment in the game is janitoring the mib on N1 and totally wrecking an entire game mechanic right off the bat.

Nicely done WP; you're really good as scum when you need to be. I had a really strong town read on Blras, even before I replaced in, so nicely done there too. Survivors aren't easy to win with. And it was totally my idea to kill Soup N1, so you all better thank me for taking out the Smoke Monster .

Now what are the odds that the two people I "called out" as mafia both had ties to the mafia? I mean, a suicide bomber and a miller - makes me look like I knew what I was talking about.

Town Role PMs Warning: There are LOST spoilers. You are Jack Shephard, a spinal surgeon and the de facto leader of the plane crash survivors. As the Doctor, you can use your skills as a surgeon to save the wounded. Each night, you may protect another player from being killed. You may not protect yourself. Before he died, Jacob also designated you as his replacement. Each night, separate from your normal action, you may touch another player to make them a candidate for your replacement. If you die, you may choose one of these candidates to replace you as the Island’s Protector. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: I actually had Jacob as a separate role in the beginning, but that was one of the roles I scrapped and combined Jack and Jacob into one character. It actually worked out better because he could protect his candidates, giving everyone more of a chance of surviving. But NPR revealed his Protector role (he could have gotten by fine with a Jack/Doctor claim) which no one believed because NPR didn’t really understand the role (not entirely his fault, there was some stuff he didn’t know, but also some stuff he made up). Basically the Protector would choose a candidate each night (these “touches” would be unaffected by any other roles), and when he died, he’d choose one candidate to become the new Protector (most of the time, this was only 1 candidate). I later added the ability to leave a Hint Man post at the beginning of each Day, which they couldn’t use to confirm their identity. As you could see, the key wasn’t to touch people you trust, but people who wouldn’t die. Most Protectors didn’t do this. You are John Locke, a plane crash survivor who treasures the wild and mystical nature of the Island. As the Saboteur, you will do what ever needs to be done to follow what you believe. Each night, you may block another player’s action. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: Locke sabotaged many things in the show (stopping the radio triangulation, blowing up the sub, throwing a knife at someone to stop a call) so he was the natural saboteur. As you’ll see by the night actions, monstrman did tend to hit Townies more than Mafia, but he did succeed in stopping a kill or two. Ultimately he made the wrong decision in the end, but that might have been different if blrasmu’s message hadn’t been delayed. You are Kate Austen, a fugitive who becomes close with the other plane crash survivors. As the Tracker, you use the skills you acquired on the run and learned from the Island to follow others. Each night, you may track another person to find out who they targeted that night. However, you are not yet very proficient and 15% of the time you get no usable results. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: Kate is kinda lame in the show, but she’s one of the main characters so I had to throw her in. She had a habit of catching up to people all the time, so I made her a tracker, albeit a weak one. She wouldn’t know if her tracking had failed or if the person just didn’t target anyone. I probably should have made it 10% or something, it was one of those roles that Libby could have helped. He didn’t catch mafia, but he helped confirm a few actions, so that’s always good. You are James “Sawyer” Ford, a con man with a shady reputation among the plane crash survivors. As the Burglar, you use your wiles and cons to obtain possessions of the other islanders. Each night, you may target a person to steal one of their possessions (chosen by me). This possession will give you a hint to either their character or role. Also, there is a 20% chance that your act of burglary kept them from performing their action that night. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: Finally had a chance to use this role! Sawyer stole stuff from everyone so he fit the role, not to mention being the guy who gave everyone nicknames. Surprisingly, his 20% block kicked in twice, and both were times when the burgled had sent in no action anyways. Common did a good job finding two mafia, but he got too hung up on the Miller (CP/Kail). He actually didn’t get targeted for a kill by the mafia until the night he died, when monstrman prevented CO from protecting him. You are Jin-Soo Kwon, a Korean man with a wife named Sun-Hwa Kwon, both plane crash survivors. As a Mason, you use your Korean language to speak privately with your wife amidst English speakers. You may speak with your wife, Sun (player name), through PM, AIM, IRC, or however you see fit. You love your wife dearly and don’t know what you would do if she was killed. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: I decided to make Jin and Sun masons early on, but I later had the idea to make them different types. Jin was the Lover, since he stays with Sun when she dies, and Sun was the Avenging Mason, since she tries to get revenge when she thought Jin had died. I’m not sure what all went on behind the scenes, but I’m sure Jamis and Kat were having fun being masons. Then blrasmu had to go and separate them. ;_; You are Sun-Hwa Kwon, a Korean woman with a husband named Jin-Soo Kwon, both plane crash survivors. As a Mason, you use your Korean language to speak privately with your husband amidst English speakers. You may speak with your husband, Jin (player name), through PM, AIM, IRC, or however you see fit. You love your husband dearly and don’t know what you would do if he was killed. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: Explained in the above commentary. Kat was NPR’s first and only candidate so she became the next Protector. She had pretty bad luck in the game, between getting blocked by monstrman, picking candidates that died, and killing a Townie (DP), but at least she touched Meow before she died to pass on the (now obsolete) duty. You are Hugo “Hurley” Reyes, a lottery winner whose luck turned for the worst, culminating in a plane crash. As the Friendly Neighbor/Medium, you are friendly to everyone, and even maintain friendships after they have died. During the game, you can become friends with another player, meaning they will learn your role (it is NOT a masonry though). If that friend dies, you may make a new friend with another player. Any friends that die, assuming they were Town-aligned, will enter a secret board after death, where they can give you tips, suspicions, and share their actions, but will be in limbo and unable to move on to the Graveyard without you. (It is important that you only communicate with them only through the secret board, so it can be moderated). You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: I knew Hurley was going to be a Medium role, but I didn’t want him to be too powerful. Unfortunately I made the role underpowered, and so it wasn’t really utilized. At least he got in contact with Libby/LMM and they became Masons before the end, which was nice in the narrations. If I could change this role, I would have made it so he could use his Friendly Neighbor role every night, and become a Medium for all these players. You are Sayid Jarrah, a former Iraqi torturer who becomes a leader amongst the plane crash survivors. As the Righteous Vigilante, you use your military training skills to take out those that wish to harm your friends. Each night, you may kill another player. If you kill another Townie, however, you will be filled with guilt and unable to kill for the next night. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: Another underutilized role, I wonder why Sayid was hellbent on killing Hurley. MF’s first kill actually was delayed to Night 2, and his replacement targeted DP again, so he tried to kill DP twice on the same night. But Doc defended DP on Night 2 and counterkilled him, which was unfortunate for the Town. I wouldn’t think it would be so hard for Townies to hit Mafia when there were so many! You are Desmond Hume, a Scotsman who met the plane survivors years after he had ship-wrecked on the Island. As the Time Mage, you possess special time-travel abilities that grant you premonitions. Each night, you may target another player; any actions that would have targeted that player will not target them until the following night. Also, there is a 20% chance that any actions that they take do not happen until the following night either. You can target the same person as many times in a row as desired, continually pushing back actions. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: At first this was going to be a delayed block (like a Time Freezer), but in the show he prevented Charlie’s death instead, so he was a delayed protect with 20% delayed block. This is one of the most confusing roles to keep track of, you have to remember to go back and check the previous night’s actions, but it was a fun role. I almost had a priority dilemma near the end where CO targeted monstrman, but I decided from previous actions that delayed actions would be affected by the actions of the day it took place on (i.e. waehofen’s kill would have still been delayed, even though he was blocked). You are Ana Lucia Cortez, an ex-cop with a distrust for other people among the plane crash survivors. As the Cop, you use your detective intuition as a police officer to investigate people you find suspicious. Each night, you may detect another player’s alignment. Since you are deeply distrustful of others however, there is a 10% chance that you receive a guilty result (“Mafia”) regardless of their actual alignment. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: I disliked Ana Lucia in the show, but being an ex-cop, she was an obvious choice for the Town’s normal Cop (even the Freighter mafia figured this). In order to spite her role (though it fit too), I made her slightly Paranoid, which made Meow suspicious of Kat, hehe. Meow survived long enough to become a Protector, but he missed too many actions to get very many useful results. You are Mr. Eko, a former drug smuggler who became a priest before the plane crash. As the Bodyguard, you use your skills as a war lord to protect the innocent. Each night, you may protect another player; there is a 50% chance that you will survive to kill the attacker instead, and a 50% chance that will die only defending your target. If you kill an attacker, you will take a vow of silence, and will not be able to post for the following Day phase. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: Mr. Eko is a killer, but he regrets his killing and goes on a vow of silence in penance. But he was always more of a defensive killer, hence bodyguard (or fighter) instead of a righteous vig. At first I had it so that Doc couldn’t post at all the following Day phase, but I didn’t want to encourage blatant inactivity, so I gave him one post. Doc did a good job picking his targets (a lot of the time it was common), but the Others were redirecting him anyways. Ironic that his silence was what killed him when the Island went purging inactives. You are Charlie Pace, a famous musician who recovered from a drug addiction after crashing on the Island. As the Message Sender/Martyr, you use your music as a message of inspiration to others. Each night, you may PM me a message (20 words or less) to send to another player. Also, one night during the game, you can sacrifice yourself to save everyone else from death that night. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: “Not Penny’s Boat”, that’s enough to explain why Charlie got this role. DrShlub tried to prevent DarthPokey’s lynch with a message, but he died anyways. Town got sorta lucky with the mafia janitoring this of all roles, but Worthy Protoplasm still managed to twist it to win the game for the Others. You are Elizabeth “Libby” Smith, a clinical psychologist who supported the other plane crash survivors. As the Cheerleader, you use your methods as a psychologist to care for other people. Each night, you may support another player; their action will have a 100% chance of succeeding (bypassing roleblocks, protections, etc.). You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: Libby was so much better than Ana Lucia! I really liked her with Hurley, so I worked a way for a psychologist to be in the game. She was always positive and trying to help others, so I put a bunch of flaws in most of the roles and put her in to “fix” them. Aside from forming a masonry with DP, LMM didn’t get to do much with the role before he was killed though. You are Michael Dawson, a father who has been trying to protect his son, Walt, following the plane crash. As the Wooden Armor, the Island has fated you to be somehow resistant to death. You will miraculously survive the first time you are night killed. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: After betraying his friends to get his son back, Michael made the perfect Traitor role. Couple that with his inability to die in later seasons, it worked well to make him a wooden armor who was actually a hidden traitor. If the vig or indie had killed him instead, it would have just been plain wooden armor though. Vitritaime was really mad when she was forced to join the mafia, especially since she already had a bunch of suspicion before that. The catch was that she would turn back to Town if she had outlasted the mafia without revealing them (and as such werdna should have helped to lynch waehofen so he could rejoin the Town). You are Juliet Burke, a fertility specialist who was brought to the Island, where she later helped the crash survivors. As the Nurse, you have skills to help others, but wounds aren’t exactly your specialty. Each night, you may protect another player; there is a 25% chance that your protection will succeed. If the Town-aligned Doctor dies, you will take on a larger role and your chances will be increased to 80%. You win when all threats to the Town are eliminated. Commentary: Juliet was mafia in the first LOST Mafia game, but I wanted to make her Town this time around because she really didn’t “belong” with the Others. She fit as a Miller because that happens in Season 3, she tries to help the survivors, but they all think she is still with the Others. Making her a Nurse also contributed to the “Miller” nature of the role, as no one would probably believe it (and apparently Kail thought so too, since he didn’t claim it). I’m not sure why no one tried to put more pressure on Squeege instead of Kail (Richard is more assuredly Other material than Juliet, as he pretty much created them), but I’m sure the Others didn’t mind that. Also with Libby, the Town could effectively have had two Doctors. I'll post more later.

okay I totally didn't think that LMM and Dr. Shlub would die in the same night IT'S NOT MY FAULT T_T And then Meow I figured they wouldn't bother with because he was mostly inactive, but made a case on me, but I flipped town. eh.
also NPR Y U MAKE STUFF UP AS TOWN ARGH.
Before this game I'd only been masons in IRC (and even then we were actually the mafia) so I did have fun with it, but since the beginning of the game was during midterms we were both pretty busy. Sun was like, perfect flavor for me, given that I study languages...but I don't secretly speak Korean or anything! ^^;
Doc's silence isn't ironic; he always does that! =P

I'm surprised we came as close as we did after all that. It's kinda rough that we still lost despite having only 1 mislynch... I guess there were two no lynches but that's almost good by DEM standards, lol. I guess in the end I enjoyed this game overall. I'm disappointed in Doc, GG, and Kail for allowing themselves to be purged though... Kail especially. He was a really poor sport, IMO.

The Freighter Mafia Spoilers ahead You are Charles Widmore, former leader of the Others, now a wealthy businessman after losing control. As the Politician/Godfather, you have gathered a freighter expedition together with the hopes of reclaiming control of the Island. Each night, you have the power to steal another player’s vote, and use it the next day as an anonymous double vote (the vote count will show up as #+1). If you are investigated, you will appear as Town-aligned. You hold the final say on any night actions for your Mafia. Also, you happen to know that your daughter Penny is not on the Island (i.e. fake claim). You win when your Mafia holds a majority of the votes, and no other killing roles remain. Link to Mafia board: kahanakrew.proboards.com/Commentary: Widmore vs. Ben was the foundation for the two mafias, as they both are trying to maintain control (or in Widmore’s case, regain control). At first I had thought of a mechanic to have them not able to kill each other, but since neither of their daughters were in the game, I scratched that. Overall, I thought Widmore’s role turned out kinda weak, and Game Guy only used it once (and he didn’t even use the double vote), since he was afraid of being caught. He also hid his fake claim from the mafia, which I think would have been a stronger claim. After disappearing from the game and not even sending the mafia’s actions, he was killed off in the purge. You are Martin Keamy, the leader of a mercenary team hired for Widmore’s freighter expedition. As the Captor/Mad Gunman, you use your skills as a former marine to wreak havok on the Island. At night, you may capture another player and take them hostage; there is a 25% chance their action will be blocked, you can have them post what you want, and vote for whomever you want (both must be communicated through me, and only one demand per 24 hours). If they disobey, you can kill them, but this will count as the following night’s mafia kill, and this will be subject to doctoring according to the previous night. You may not use this action two nights in a row. You also have a dead-man’s switch attached to yourself; if you are ever killed, you will activate a bomb that will kill one random player. Link to Mafia board: kahanakrew.proboards.com/Commentary: I think Keamy’s the only one in the Freighter Mafia that was actually a killer in the show (maybe Widmore). I drew the Captor part from when he captures Alex, and the Mad Gunman from his bomb that blows up the freighter (though in my game, the bomb was buried somewhere in the vicinity. The captor part really didn’t get to be used during the game: one time it was delayed then blocked, the other time common was protected. The Mad Gunman part did get used, and while XX Stone claimed he could choose the target, it was actually random; he technically could have killed one of his own with it, but lucky for his team, he killed one of the other mafia instead (making him look a little more believable in death). You are Daniel Faraday, a physicist with insight into the Island’s mysterious properties. As the Spy/Recruiter, you have joined the freighter expedition to find out more about the Island spoken of in your journal. Each night, you can investigate information about another player; there is a 75% chance you will find out their character name and a 25% chance you will only find out their alignment. Also, if your mafia loses a member, you can recruit a member of the Town to replace him; this recruitment will take the place of your night kill and the player will have the choice whether to join or not, since they will lose any abilities they had. If this recruitment is unsuccessful, you may try again. You win when your Mafia holds a majority of the votes, and no other killing roles remain. Link to Mafia board: kahanakrew.proboards.com/Commentary: Daniel was one of my favorite characters, but it was hard to make him mafia because he’s such an innocent character. I gave him nonaggressive roles though, being able to investigate (he knows a lot about the Island from his Journal), and a recruiter, though he actually joins the other side in the show. The recruitment was actually pretty weak because the mafias were strong already, but it was meant to target players with nothing to lose, like ones that suspected the mafia would win, or didn’t have very powerful roles in the first place. They used the role well, finding Vit the Traitor and Meow the Cop, but the recruitment was a failure, just as it was for the Others. You are Frank Lupidus, an airline pilot who was hired to be chopper pilot for the freighter expedition. As the Abductor/Janitor, you can fly the freighter’s helicopter to transport people around the Island. Each night, you may fly yourself and one other player in your copter, making both of you immune from all actions; if they use an action, it will target you instead. Also, if you perform the mafia’s kill, you will carry the body in your copter and dump it out in the ocean where it can’t be found, and only you will learn the corpse’s identity. You may only perform this on two even nights during the game. You win when your Mafia holds a majority of the votes, and no other killing roles remain. Link to Mafia board: kahanakrew.proboards.com/Commentary: Frank is a pilot, that’s pretty much his only skill in the show, so I gave him a commuter-esque role, and just fit the janitoring with the flavor. I thought this would be a new way to give the mafia a chance to either protect themselves or block another player; though it would protect two mafia players at once from all actions, it would take both their own actions out of play. I guess this wasn’t ideal for the mafia, so they decided not to use it. They did use the janitoring before SMAP died on Vit, but she turned to their side instead and so it wasn’t really used. Maybe that’s for the best, as there could have been potentially 4 janitorings in the game. You are Miles Straume, a spiritualist who was recruited for the freighter expedition for his special abilities. As the Coroner/Mugger, you use your ability to communicate with the dead to find out information. Each night, you may investigate one dead body; you will find out what alignment they were killed by. There is a 25% chance you will learn who they were targeted by on their final night, and a 25% chance of learning who they targeted on their final night. If you perform the mafia’s kill, you will gain the victim’s ability (if they used it on the night they were killed), which you may use on the following night as your action; if it is a kill, it will count as the mafia kill. Also, you recently sensed the dead bodies of Boone and Shannon on the Island (i.e. fake claims). You win when your Mafia holds a majority of the votes, and no other killing roles remain. Link to Mafia board: kahanakrew.proboards.com/Commentary: Miles’ power is to hear the thoughts of dead people, so his Coroner role is him using the dead to find out info, while the Mugger is him using the dead to gain their power or weapon (not really in the show, but he doesn’t kill in the show either; he does find diamonds though). I thought that the role was going to be too powerful (since he can basically find the other mafia and vigs by just looking at a dead player), so I lowered it to a 25% chance, but that turned out to be too low because they never had any success. In hindsight, I should have added an increase in success for checking the same victim again. I also forgot to give Meow’s power to waehofen when he killed him, but it was just a detection anyways.

(0) gg wp. I'm not sure if the last two letters stand for "well played" or "worthy protoplasm." (1) apparently I'm really bad at playing as mafia lol (2) Freighter Mafia needed moar activity, and sorry Ernie for making you wait. (3) bs bs BS I really wish I had known the Smoke Monster was dead! My plan B was to make the case that we should leave both mafiats alive so they could kill each other, and lynch anybody who might screw that up. (4) haha sorry DP. I would have loved to be in a dead board for you and give you bad advice. But I really meant everything I said about you and NPR in the first couple Days, because my earlygame strategy was to make myself believe I wasn't mafia and post accordingly.

The Other Mafia (More spoilers) You are Benjamin Linus, the leader of the Others who exterminated the Dharma Initiative. As the Redirector/Godfather, you are not afraid to use lies and manipulations to regain control of your Island. Each night, you can redirect another player to the target of your choice; this power will not work on the other Mafia’s kills though. If you are investigated, you will appear as Town-aligned. You hold the final say on any night actions for your Mafia. You win when your Mafia holds a majority of the votes, and no other killing roles remain. Link to Mafia board: hostileshideout.proboards.com/index.cgiCommentary: Ben is my favorite character in LOST, and he was an easy choice for Godfather of the Others and as a manipulator, the Redirector. As such, he was more powerful than Widmore, but I added the restriction to not be able to redirect the other mafia’s kills so they couldn’t just control their kills too. But he could have redirected Sayid and the Smoke monster (he did so in the show) if he found them, making him quite deadly. Both of those two died early though, so he mostly used it to redirect Doc off their kills and onto possible Freighter targets. You are Tom Friendly, the spokesperson and loyal member of the Others. As the Illusionist/Recruiter, you have the resources to create disguises for the Others. At night, you can give another mafia member the costume of another person, making them appear like that character in investigations and narrations; it will not disguise death reveals though. Link to Mafia board: hostileshideout.proboards.com/index.cgiCommentary: Tom was the main recruiter for the Others in the show (the other option being Richard), so that was his duty. He also had the beard and tattered clothes disguise, which was used to hide information about the Others from the survivors. Worthy Protoplasm did a good job of blending in with the townies; there were a few fleeting suspicions of him, but he had a believable claim and when it mattered most, monstrman trusted him over blrasmu. It also worked out nicely to have the final Protector and survive to the end for my narration. You are Richard Alpert, an Other who has held the position of chief advisor for a very long time. As the Armor/Janitor, your enduring knowledge of the Island has proved useful to the Others. Since you are ageless, you are very resistant to death; as such, you will survive any night kills. Also, if you perform the mafia’s kill, you will bury the body where it can’t be found, and only you will learn the corpse’s identity. You may only perform this on two odd-numbered nights during the game. You win when your Mafia holds a majority of the votes, and no other killing roles remain. Link to Mafia board: hostileshideout.proboards.com/index.cgiCommentary: Richard was one of my favorite characters, and I enjoyed his mystery. His power was eternal youth, and so this roughly translated to Armor in mafia. The janitor part arose from the fact that Richard had the Others bury their dead in order to hide them from the Smoke Monster. Squeege was the chief advisor for the Others until his death, and I thank him for opting to kill inactives. Luckily, this worked out for them in the end. By the way, you’ll notice I took off the odd/even distinction for both the Janitors, because I later felt it wasn’t fair that Others got to use theirs first. You are Ethan Rom, an Other who infiltrated the camp of the plane crash survivors. As the Doctor/Infiltrator, you use your skills as the Others’ surgeon to tend to your team’s wounds. At night, you may protect one player from being night killed. If you perform the mafia kill, you will inject the victim with a poison that will kill them in 24 hours (real-time). This will also allow you to avoid being watched or tracked during the night. Also, you have kidnapped Claire and currently have her in the Barracks (i.e. fake claim). You win when your Mafia holds a majority of the votes, and no other killing roles remain. Link to Mafia board: hostileshideout.proboards.com/index.cgiCommentary: Ethan was the obvious doctor, but I wasn’t sure which type of kill to give him. I was going to make him a kidnapping role, but instead I tried out the poison role, which also acted as an Infiltrator. Unfortunately, Puppyduck was killed too early for it to be used. I think it would have been fun to watch someone die in the middle of the day. You are Mikhail Bakunin, a former Soviet soldier who now manages the communications on the Island. As the Surveillance/Suicide Bomber, you keep watch on the Island’s inhabitants in order to learn about them. Each night, you may watch a camera in the vicinity of another player; there is a 50% chance you will see who they target, and a 50% chance you will see who targets them, each calculated separately (meaning you could get both, or neither). Also, you may at any time during the Day opt to kill yourself and take another player down with you. Also, you happened to notice Rose and Bernard living on the other side of the Island on one of your cameras (i.e. fake claims). You win when your Mafia holds a majority of the votes, and no other killing roles remain. Link to Mafia board: hostileshideout.proboards.com/index.cgiCommentary: Since Mikhail had a habit of coming back when you thought he was dead, I considered making him a sort of wooden armor, but Richard already had the Armor so I went with his other attributes instead. He was the Others’ only information role, but it wasn’t as effective as the Freighters’ detection. The Suicide Bomber was a complement to the Mad Gunman, though he got to choose when and on whom to use it. Funny that the bomber became the bombee. The IndependentsYou are The Smoke Monster/The Man in Black, one of the earliest inhabitants of the Island who was transformed after contact with the Heart of the Island. As the Evil Priest, you have gained powers over the Dead that you wish to use to allow you to escape the Island. At night, you have several abilities to choose from: you can change your appearance to any dead character, which you will maintain until you change it again (you start off as Christian Shephard); you can kill another player (you may not do this two nights in a row); you can recruit a player who would normally die that night to your side (if you choose this, I will show you a list of dying players, and you will choose one - you can only use this once, and it only works on Townies); or you can commute, making you immune to all actions. You win when all the candidates are dead (and you get off the Island without dying). Commentary: The Man in Black was a main villain in the show, so you guys were right to assume he would be in as an independent. I pulled from his various abilities in the show and ultimately came up with a hodgepodge of roles for him. His win condition was simply to kill all the candidates (and Protectors) without dying, but he didn’t really know that the Protectors were a sort of cult, making him more of a serial killer. He had one ability to take on a sidekick, who would keep his abilities and help him survive. Another thing he didn’t know was that he couldn’t kill Protectors (same as the show). I originally had it so he’d be a sort of necromancer role, so everyone would lose if the candidates all died, but if he had won early in the game, I would have just let it keep going, like a Jester death. Fortunately, soup was killed on Night 1, but I had to keep propagating the Protector mechanic because only the mafia knew he was dead. You are Danielle Rousseau, a French woman who survived alone many years after being shipwrecked on the Island. As the Jack-of-all-Trades Survivor, you have learned many useful survival skills while searching for your daughter. You have the ability to do perform one of the following one-shot actions each night: Kill, block, detect, track, send a message, or commute. You win if you are alive at the end of the game, regardless of the winning faction. Commentary: I like survivors because they can choose who to help, though they usually just help the Town to avoid being lynched; in this case blrasmu did help the town but still won with the mafia. Anyways, I liked Rousseau and Alex in the show, and she was textbook case of surviving (many years on her own), even though she died later. I gave her a few abilities that related to her actions in the show, so that even though they might not help her survive, they could help her prove her claim. Fortunately he lived, and I got the chance to give her and Alex a happy ending. And that's all the Role PMs! I'll post the Night actions soonish.

Here are the Night actions! There are some pretty funny stuff that happened, and you'll see how CO's actions as Desmond really confused things sometimes. Day 1 “Orientation” - Introduction to the game. No lynch.

Night 9 monstrman blocks blrasmu. Worthy kills monstrman, leaves a hint "The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.", and touches blrasmu.
Worthy Protoplasm and blrasmu survive to the end. And that's all, folks! I really hope you enjoyed the game! Let me know what you liked or didn't like, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask! Thanks, and see you next game!

I just realized: If Doc had made 1 post on Day 7, he would have lived to kill Worthy Protoplasm. Town probably would have won.

CO was blocked, so his protection from the previous night would have carried over. He could have sent in no action, he just needed to post.

Edit2: Huh? ~
Edit3: Double Huh? Didn't he think I was scum? I guess I helped kill scum that day... but still....

Common, I would exactly call breaking the rules of the game the "right the to do".
Lol it was funny to see all this stuff I was involved in but had no idea about.
